These are just a couple things you probably didn't know about the beloved 1983 film "The Outsiders," it's actors and the making of the movie. These are some fun facts about the movie that was interesting to me and I thought I'd share with you. Enjoy...
THE SUNRISE THAT APPEARED IN THE "NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY" SCENE WAS NOT REAL.
They actually used a green screen in order to add in the sunset during the scene where C. Thomas Howell (Ponyboy Curtis) was reciting the poem to Ralph Macchio (Johnny Cade). I'm pretty sure that it would have been hard to wake up at the right time, get the crew and equipment onto the set, and then film the sunrise.
