She is played by an actress named Sophia Coppola, who is one of Francis Ford Coppola's children. For another fact about her, she actually played a small role in another one of Coppola's directed movies ("Rumble Fish," which was also written by S.E Hinton), playing as Patty's bratty younger sister.
