FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA'S (THE DIRECTOR OF "THE OUTSIDERS") DAUGHTER GOT A SMALL ROLE IN THE MOVIE.
During the Diary Queen scene, there is a young girl that comes up to Matt Dillon (Dallas Winston) and askes him if he has a couple of extra cents. She is played by an actress named Sophia Coppola, who is one of Francis Ford Coppola's children. For another fact about her, she actually played a small role in another one of Coppola's directed movies ("Rumble Fish," which was also written by S.E Hinton), playing as Patty's bratty younger sister.
