These are just a couple things you probably didn't know about the beloved 1983 film "The Outsiders," it's actors and the making of the movie. These are some fun facts about the movie that was interesting to me and I thought I'd share with you. Enjoy...
FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA HAD TO TELL ROB LOWE (SODAPOP CURTIS) ABOUT S.E HINTON'S DECIDED FATE FOR HIS CHARACTER.
Rob Lowe (Sodapop Curtis) was really curious to know how his character's life continued and how he ended up when living with his brothers. He made Francis Ford Coppola ask S.E Hinton herself, and what he received was not what he thought he'd hear. Apparently, S.E Hinton said that a few years after the time and setting of the movie, Sodapop ends up joining the war in order to get more money for his brothers. Unfortunately, she said that this is how our beloved Sodapop Curtis dies, getting blown up in Vietnam.
