Chapter 1:

Fiancee perks

[Carly's POV]

"Flight 487 to Singapore via A&S Airlines, please proceed to the boarding area.."

"Let's go?" My fiancée held my hand as we both make our way to the boarding area. We will be going back to Singapore to visit tito Ricky. (Who insists me to call him dad too.)

I filed a leave of absence for a week to grant my fiancée's wish. We haven't had time for each other since we're both busy with our careers. So she asked if we can visit her dad, and have our time alone together.

We've been together for almost 3 years and some things changed, in positive ways. She's going to be the future CEO of Chen's Group of Companies. And I'm a flag bearer of the Philippines like my friends.

After I graduated, - a semester later than my friends - I also got a job as a flight attendant, as we all dreamt of. Well, my fiancée here helped me - without my consent. She said, "Call it as one of your fiancée perks." So I made sure she promises that it would be the last time she'd help me with my career. Though it really makes me proud to have a fiancée who's going to be a big shot CEO of a monopoly of businesses all around the globe.. I want to be what I wanted to be without any further help from her. I want to prove my worth, that I can do this by myself. And she understands it so yeah, we're good.

The first time I heard that Amber would be the CEO of the CGC, I felt the ring in my finger got heavier. But eventually, Amber made me feel that I don't have to overthink everything. Cause she assured me that she will still be the Amber I loved.

We sat on the first couple of chairs on the right side of the plane. My seat was by the window, so that I'd get the chance to look at the clouds later. It's been a habit of mine ever since I got this job. It always gives me that exhilarating and relaxing feeling.

I'm glad we're not on the business class. I'm more comfortable with the economy. They're easy to talk to and not hard to please.

Honey winked at me as she passed by us. She's one of the attendant's in this flight. Looking so gorgeous with our uniform, that I think I'm going to miss wearing for a week. She's explaining the do's and don'ts, emergency SOP's and all. I seem to be bored by it, not that she's not good at explaining, but because I am just like the other passengers now. And I know those already.

Before the plane took off, I asked babe if I can nap and she just nodded at me so I put my earphones on and closed my eyes.

"Babe, we're here.." Amber whispered to me. Wait, we're already in Singapore? I slept the whole flight?!
