The little girl

I miss that little girl
The one who blossomed with joy
The little girl that was happy
And played in the snow
The girl you couldn't tell no
That little girl who smiled ear to ear
Didn't know sorrow
I wish I could rewind
And protect her heart
All this pain and grief
Tore her little soul apart
I wish I would've wiped her tears
Instead of painting over them
I wish I would've held her close
When the room went dark
Instead I broke the little girls heart
Gave her to people in exchange for "love"
I told her she was ugly and wouldn't let her play
Told her to grow up there's no time for games
Broke all her toys and led us astray
I neglected her for others
And she died one day
That day I cried the hardest
Looked back on the people I gave her happiness to
Just to get played
Made her grow up
Made her my slave
Left her alone and in pain
As I changed her for others
And I regret it till this day
Pushed her into this cruel world
And let it take her light
I never meant harm
But I never did what was right
If I could bring her back I would
I would love her soul to life
Let her believe the world is kittens and rainbows
And sheild her from all the harm
Tell people who lust for her
No
Treat her like the princess she was
And let her play in the sun
Wipe her tears
Cheer her up
And watch her fly around the sun
