the sun shone through the clouds brightly; the warmth covering your bare skin. you had fallen asleep shorty after kylo had talked to you out on the balcony, he followed your actions not short after you had fallen asleep. he stayed up for quite some time; watching as your back rose and fell with every inhale of breath. your skin held tiny goosebumps as kylo ghosted his fingers over your naked body feeling your body heat radiating into his palm. your hair sprawled out onto the pillow- covering your face a bit.

kylo had gotten up hours before the sun had fully made its way up from the horizon, spending time on a gift for you. the man he enlisted for the task worked throughout the night to make sure it would be perfect. kylo waited until the man had given him the contents to wake you. sitting on the edge of the bed; kylo moves some of your hair off your shoulder, causing your body to shiver. you opened your eyes slowly, adjusting to the bright sunlight before glancing to kylo. his black adorned figure sat hunched over- looking down at his gloved hands.

"good morning" you say, stretching and moving your hair out of your face

kylo did not say a word as he slid a tiny black box across the sheets and to the tips of your fingers. you looked down; the small box sat between you and your middle finger, you look up at kylo, about to speak before he stops you.

"open it" he nods to you, eyes studying the box.

you grab the box gently, holding the bottom in one hand and grasping the lid with your other as you slowly open it- unsure of what you are about to witness inside.

you take in a shaky breath; never lifting your eyes as you pull out a black ring; too big for your hand and heavy in weight. in your peripheral vision you see kylo shifting; taking his left glove off his hand and moving his hand to your thigh. no vocal words were exchanged but they might as well have been; you understood what kylo was physically telling you without having to force the words out of his mouth.

you pull the ring out the box and grab kylo's large hand in yours; taking a second to look at his angelic face before slowly lifting his ring finger up in the air with your thumb under his palm and sliding the cold piece of jewelry onto his finger- settling at the top of his scarred knuckle. your breathing is shallow, lifting your head to finally look at kylo; his face shows no emotion- as if he is blocking something he wants no one to know.

"as i have you...you have me" kylo says to you before moving his hand from your grasp and back to your thigh, the feeling of cold metal hitting your warm skin.

"my husband" you whisper, causing kylo's facade to almost melt away before he caught himself, holding up the emotionless walls with what he had left of his power; you were his weakness, and it drove him crazy.

you looked out the window of the ship as you watched the buildings of naboo become smaller and smaller until the clouds covered them completely; telling how close you were to being out of naboo's orbit. leaving naboo made you feel empty; like a piece of you is being left on such a beautiful planet. you wished you could stay forever; but you knew that wasn't practical.

a beeping sounds from the middle of the control board- signaling an incoming hologram. hux appears on it; crashing sounds are heard from behind him.

"emperor and empress ren, we are under attack by the resistance; you must get to the finalizer immediately for take off to jakku" hux's voice comes out crackled; the transmission experiencing difficulty in keeping contact.

kylo flips a switch and shoots you back into your seat from the force of hyperspeed being activated.

"kylo we need to go fight! why don't we just go right there?" your voice comes out frantic; you needed to prepare your troopers and you needed to get ready for battle.
