Chapter 10

“Hey babe. Wake up.”

I moaned as felt someone tapping my shoulders. But I am too sleepy to bother who it is.

“Babe, if you will not wake up right now, I have no choice but to kiss you…”

I quickly opened my eyes when I realize whom I am with.

“and carry you from here---”

“Ano ba. Kita mo ngang gising na oh.” He chuckled. I just rolled my eyes while unbuckling the seatbelt.

Nang mabuksan ang pinto ng kotse, napakunot ang noo ko.

‘Why do I smell the sea and the woods at the same time?’

When both of my feet landed the ground, the first thing I’ve notice is the forest which kinda looked scary. Maybe dahil gabi na kaya, nakakatakot pagmasdan.
I looked up and notice na hindi lang pala siya basta gubat. Medyo pataas kasi nang pataas yung mga puno. Maybe kung papasukin mo siya, para kang magha-hiking.

I went to Mikael’s side kasi goodness, pagod ako sa biyahe. I need a serious nap, nah sleep pala. Yet, I was taken back. Nawala ang antok ko, and was changed to amusement.

‘Jesus Christ! I think we are at a beach resort which is beside a forest! Such a great combination for someone like me who loves greenly places and waters at the same time.’

“Welcome to Zambales babe.”
My eyes widened.

“Welcome to what?!”

“Zambales.” He repeated, and then went to the compartment to get our things.

“What the hell? When did I even agree to this?” Medyo lutang ko pa ring tanong.

Shuta, nahahawa na ako sa kaka-Ingles niya.

“ Just about 4 hours ago.” Natatanga ko siyang tiningnan. Bitbit na niya mga gamit namin.

“Let’s go. You are not the only one tired.” I followed him.

Shutanggala! Akala ko naman kasi malapit lang pupuntahan namin. Gets ko namang normal ang traffic sa Maynila kaya inisip kong ‘yun ang reason kung bakit ang tagal ng biyahe.  But I ended up being at faraway place, Zambales in exact. And first time kong lumabas ng Metro with someone. And not just someone, with a man!

Bigla tuloy akong napayakap sa sarili. Hindi ko pa handang isuko mga beks!
I felt someone snap my forehead.

“Hey, hey. I know what you are thinking, and I am not that kind of person. I don’t do force.” My eyes landed on his eyes.

Ngayon ko lang napansin. He has dark gray eyes. My favorite eye color.
He pinched my nose.

“I know I am gorgeous, but since it is you. Okay you have unlimited access to stare.” I rolled my eyes with his overflowing confidence.

I slap his arm to remove his hand on my nose, ‘cause I am out of breath.

“Sir, naayos na po namin ang dalawang kuwarto. Nandoon na rin po ang mga gamit ninyo.” Napatingin ako sa babaeng papaalis, then balik sa kanya.

“Sir?”

“Yeah. Family resort.” He held my hand and began walking.

Psh. Bakit ‘di pa ako nagtaka. Lassalian ‘to, obviously bigatin ang pamilya. Baka nga mamaya, pamilya na niya ang may-ari ng tinutuluyan kong boarding house. Jusko. Huwag naman sana.
