So, we're transitioning to Neksdor in this one, but not before Charlotte reveals the truth about The Elite. *looks around dramatically*

"...and I believe you can find the Shadow Queen there," Charlotte concluded, having explained to Janice that the neighbor kingdom was most likely Kojima's next target.

"Okay, let's go, team." Janice turned to leave, but Charlotte stopped her.

"One more thing. I must tell you about my ancestor, one of The Elite. That will probably be useful."

"Okay, go ahead."

The queen nodded. "Years ago, when The Eternal was sealed away, The Elite's power was greatly depleted. They knew that the battle had taken a toll on them, and they would not survive much longer. So, before they took their final breaths, each member used one last magical wave, and the power within that wave ensured that their magic would live on in their descendants. I am one of them, a descendant of Flora, the Earth Elite. She was called as such because her power revolved around the plants of the world. I, being her descendant, have her power. I believe that if you find all of the descendants of The Elite, you may stand a chance against Kojima."

Janice nodded. "Where are the other descendants?"

At that time, Horace spoke up. "Ah, yes. I forgot to tell you... the legendary ancestor I mentioned...that is Blaze, the Elite who controls fire. I am his descendant."

"It will take time for our powers to truly awaken," Charlotte explained. "So, while you ensure that the other descendants are safe, we will wait until our time. I believe the descendants are across Miitopia, and surely they will be vital to this journey."

"Thank you. Let's get going, team."

Meanwhile, in Neksdor, the other team was looking around for the Shadow Queen, with no luck so far. "I don't see her," Apollo reported, turning to the others. "Any luck?"

"Not yet, meow," Teresa sighed, brushing her fur nonchalantly. "There's too much sand in my fur for me to concentrate, meow."

Jean-Luc rolled his eyes. "This is no time to think about your fur, Teresa. The Shadow Queen could pounce at any—?" He paused, looking around. "Wait...do you hear something?"

"Hear what?" Ricky asked, his petals drooping from the heat. "Whew...I know flowers need sun, but this is ridiculous."

"Shh!" Jean-Luc was quiet, and then he pointed to the castle ahead. "That way! There's trouble!"

"How do you know, meow?"

"I grew up with trouble at every turn for me. Let's call it my thief instinct." He listened for a moment before breaking into a run. "Come on! I can hear someone screaming!"

Okay, when I said "transitioning to Neksdor," I meant "going to see what the team in Neksdor was doing before leading up to another boss fight in the next chapter. Also, I am well aware that I haven't updated in months, but writer's block was getting in my way. (I've had a lot on my mind lately...such as ZeldaUniverse releasing their Majora's Mask 20th Anniversary Tribute, working on absolutely cringeworthy fanart—I did the End of the World from Sonic 06, I don't care that it's a screwy game, fight me—and making an art book-that's-actually-just-drawing pads for this AU series. Because I need a life.
Peace out and no comments, please and thank you!
