Okay, fans, I'm back! We're finally at the second half of the story, and boy, are you in for a treat! So, if you remember from last time, we just introduced The Eternal, Janice's real identity, who fused back with her and completely destroyed Miitopia...or DID she? Let's find out! (Also I thought the music was fitting, play it around the part where Ethan's signal fizzles out.)
Miitopia belongs to Nintendo, enjoy! No comments!

The descendants of the ancient resistance group gathered together in the very center of Miitopia, formulating a plan. "If we are to help them, we must awaken our true powers," Charlotte informed them.

"Yes. Each of us possesses great strength in our hearts, and that shall put us at an advantage," Horace added.

"I don't get it!" Ambre said, crossing her arms. "If The Eternal is so bad, then why didn't our ancestors just murder her when they had the chance?! Then none of this stupid stuff would happen!"

"Ambre, you must remember that The Eternal's power is far greater than we can imagine," Abitha scolded. "Her abilities were beyond The Elite's reckoning...resulting in their deaths."

"Besides," Aria added in an effort to lighten the mood, "if they were never defeated...well, where would we be?"

"That about sums it up!"

The quintet turned to see a familiar figure walking toward them, coming from Greenhorne. "Ah, and...you are?" Charlotte asked.

"Adiran, a mere factory worker...you may have known me as the Dark Lord." He smiled sheepishly and scratched his head. "But I'm not evil anymore, I swear. In fact, my ancestor was Glacier, the Ice Elite, the most free-spirited of the group."

"Well, you will certainly be a valuable resource to the current predicament. Say," Horace pondered, "we have the New Elites of earth, fire, light, and now ice...but what of wind, water, and darkness?"

"I believe that the Great Sage, Harmoni, shall join us soon," replied Adiran. "As for the other two, well..."

Literally in the blink of an eye, they were all floating high above Miitopia as a ray of light burst from Karkaton. "I say, is that not Ethan's signal?" Charlotte asked, getting murmurs of agreement from the others. "If he sent that out, it can mean only one thing..."

As soon as the words left her lips, the light fizzled out. "Wha—?"

The group stared in utter horror as the world was being consumed by a bright flash before their very eyes. Greenhorne, Neksdor, the Realm of the Fey, Nimbus, Otherworld...all of it was...disappearing.

"What is this?!" Charlotte gasped in shock as she recalled something: her husband and citizens were still there! "NO! The people...!!!"

"MOTHER!" Horace could only watch as the last he saw of the desert queen was her smiling face. "Why is this happening?!"

"Everything is going away!" Ambre stated the obvious, her eyes wide as dinner plates. "We have to do something!"

"There is nothing we can do," Aria lamented. "The world is being consumed by this everlasting power..."

"The only way that could happen is...!" Abitha didn't get to finish her sentence as the light continued to devour their home...and then turned its sight on them. Before they were taken, Adiran said the one thing all of them were thinking, said the words that made the truth of the situation dig deep into their minds.

"...We are too late..."
...
Where...am I? Janice mentally groaned, her consciousness slowly coming back to her. Her head was throbbing, and she could tell that something was wrong on the inside without even being told. After a moment, she was finally able to move without her head swimming, and she opened her eyes.
