I realized that I hadn't brought back a certain character that I loved in the original Miitopia, so why not toss him on the grill as well?
Miitopia belongs to Nintendo, enjoy! No comments! In Karkaton, Janice felt an immense amount of dark power in the air itself, causing her heart to beat rapidly. The cloud of darkness on her chest was about twice its original size now, and the team was concerned about what would happen if it got too big.
"I don't want any of you worried about me," she informed them, kindly yet firmly. "Let's just keep moving. We aren't out of the woods yet."
But as they continued walking, Janice secretly pulled Antonia aside for a moment. "I know this is hard for you, what with your sister and Horace. But... I..." She sighed as Antonia looked on in concern. "Look, if anything happens to me...I'm trusting you and Akira to keep the team going. Don't grieve for me if I don't come out all right...can I count on you to do that for me?"
Antonia paused, and then, with a look of regret on her face, she nodded. "...Whatever you say, leader."
Then, an innocent and familiar voice called out from above, one that Janice knew all too well. "'OI! Janice! Up HEEEERE!"
She looked up and smiled when she saw that face. "Dominic!"
The light blue dragon landed next to them, and all the team members gave him various greetings. "It's been a long time since I saw you, Janice! What brings you all the way out here?" the dragon asked, tilting his head slightly to express interest.
"We're looking for the Shadow Queen," Janice explained, pointing to her chest. "She did something to me, and now I'm seeing things...so we're trying to find her and make her undo what she did."
"The Shadow Queen, you say?" Dominic thought for a moment. "Well, if you want to find her, I would suggest..."
"Daaaaaaaddy!" a young voice exclaimed, and a smaller female dragon flew to Dominic out of nowhere, followed by an older female one. They were both the same color as Dominic, but the older one had green eyes whereas the younger had blue.
"Oof! Mallory, settle down!" Dominic laughed before turning to the other dragon. "Hydra, has she been playing near the volcanic geysers again?"
"Unfortunately." Hydra shook her head with a smile on her face. "She's like you...always running into stuff." Then she frowned. "I just hope she doesn't get taken from us..."
"Uhh, sorry to interrupt, but what's going on here?" Janice asked, understandably confused. Dominic blinked and then remembered they were still there.
"Oh, yes, my bad. Everyone, this is my wife Hydra and my daughter Mallory. Girls, this is Janice and her friends, the heroes who saved me when I was taken by the Dark Lord."
"Hello," Hydra greeted as Mallory looked up at her father.
"So these people saved you from that creepy purple guy, Daddy?" she asked.
"Yes, and now they're trying to stop another thing from doing bad stuff." Dominic turned back to Janice. "My little sprout was just about to hatch when I was captured...Hydra had just laid her egg, and then... she had to lie to our little girl when she asked why I wasn't there to see her come into the world." He sighed before regaining his composure. "But now that we're together and Miitopia is in danger again, nothing is going to keep us apart. Not while I still live and breathe fire!"
"And we appreciate your enthusiasm, dear," Hydra intervened. "But I think we should be safe with them around. After all, they defeated the Dark Lord AND the Darker one without any trouble!"
"Well, we aren't THAT powerful, but..." Janice muttered, scratching her head.
"Ahem! Anyway, as I was saying, I would suggest looking for the Shadow Queen in her palace. The Dark Lord's castle had been abandoned after he was taken care of, but now it's been remodeled, so to speak. I'd be willing to bet she's waiting for you there."
"Thanks, Dominic." Janice smiled and petted his head, making him purr. "Is there anything we can do for you in return?"
"Just make sure the Shadow Queen gets what's coming to her!" Dominic encouraged. "We're counting on you."
And with that, the two parties said their goodbyes and set off for the Dark Lord's castle.
At least, that's what it used to be.
"Wow...it wasn't that big last time," Cadence commented, staring at the gargantuan fortress that stood before them.
"Yikes...guess Kojima decided to go big for this one," Scarlette shivered, cuddling against Lazarus.
"We can't stop now. Stay sharp," Janice said, and with the team encouraged, they all entered the fortress.
Aww, Dominic's got a little family! Isn't that adorable? I figured he needed a better role in this one, so I gave him a wife and daughter.
Peace out! No comments!
