Everyone followed Harmoni to the next room, where Kojima herself sat on her throne. "Ah, you've arrived. I was beginning to think you'd gotten lost, yesssss," the Shadow Queen said. "Are you ready to die?"
"It's over, Kojima! We're going to defeat you!" Janice said, a look of determination crossing her face. Even if it costs me my life, I will protect them...my friends, this era's Elite...Akira...
"Pathetic little worm. You aren't grasping the situation, are you? Let me show you just how powerful the darkness is!"
Kojima waved her hands in an odd manner, and with a jolt, the darkness inside Janice's heart was forced out and into the Shadow Queen. It was surprisingly not painful, but Janice watched in fear as the evil one's appearance changed. Her entire form blurred into the dimly lit room, only her eyes being completely visible. The sword that caused the hero to see these visions appeared in her hand, pulsing with dark energy.
"Everyone, come on!" Harmoni encouraged, creating a new staff with a wave of her hands. It was identical to her old one. "This is the final battle...so let's make it count!"
"Right!!!" all of them shouted in unison...ready to face the odds with dignity.
BEGIN BATTLE!
Enemy Target: Kojima, Twilit Queen

Janice attacks with Jump Slash. "Let's go! Jump Slash!" Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 450 HP.
This time, Janice didn't get that extra attack. "Well, there goes the darkness in you, Janice," said the guardian. "You may not be able to use that extra power, but don't fret! You can still defeat Kojima, and everything can go back to the way it was... Ho ho..." He did not sound as enthusiastic as before, but Janice paid it no mind.
Akira uses Tower of Flame. "Tower of Flame!" Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 400 HP.
Ethan uses Mega Lightning. "Mega Lightning!" Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 200 HP.
Apollo uses Aura. "Aura!" Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 345 HP.
Kojima, Twilit Queen drains Akira's health with dark power. Akira loses 100 HP.
Ethan temporarily leaves the fight. "See you later!"
Jean-Luc replaces Ethan. "It's my turn!"
Jean-Luc uses Whirlwind Blades. Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 450 HP.
Apollo temporarily leaves the fight. "Be careful, everyone..."
Cadence replaces Apollo. "Yay, my turn!"
Cadence uses Flambé. "Haaaa!" Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 85 HP.
Janice uses Darkeye Slash. "Let's go! Darkeye Slash!" Kojima, Twilit Queen loses 70 HP. Kojima, Twilit Queen is defeated. "Score!"
Kojima fell to the ground, breathing heavily. "No...it cannot be..."
Team Janice wins!
END BATTLE!
"Mm ha ha ha ha..." Kojima reverted back to her non-silhouette form, laughing weakly. "That was...quite impressive, to say the least." She stood up, holding her left arm, which was oozing some type of black smoke. "I never expected you would defeat me...not after all of the monsters I sent for you to play with."
To everyone's surprise, Kojima's wounds healed instantly, and she flew up to a large stained glass window, which depicted the image of the very scene underneath it: a silver coffin with two torches on either side of it. Strangely, the flames on the torches were blue.
"But it's too late!" Kojima laughed again. "I have the power I need...and now, the one I require shall awaken!"
Did that last part sound familiar? It was in Janice's dream way back in the second chapter. And I know I make most of the fights curb-stomp battles, but we're high leveled here. Only one more chapter until the second half of the story!
