Man, I really hope this story isn't longer than the last one... but I want the chapter number to stay the same, which means more interludes in the future! AHH! Why is writing stuff like this so difficult and yet so fun?! ...Ahem. This concludes my conflict with myself.

Someone watched Janice and Akira from the shadows, smirking as she heard them speak. "Well, well, brother, you've grown attached to the hero, hmm? And she is intrigued with you? Mm ha ha ha ha...this will make my job so much easier!"
The next morning, the team was off to save the elves who'd lost their faces, and Janice was much happier. After the talk with Akira the night before, she started to attack stronger and even fought alongside the Reborn. They were growing closer, that much was certain.
"Okay, where did you see the Shadow Queen head with Bryan and Emma?" Janice asked Abitha, and the fairy didn't even have to say a word when Kojima appeared.
"Mm ha ha ha ha! So, we meet again, hero!" she said as they all got into battle stances.
"This has gone on long enough, sister!" Akira shouted. "Lightning!" The spell shot out of Harmoni's staff, hitting the Shadow Queen on her left arm and leaving a sizable scorch mark on her sleeve. She didn't even flinch.
"Why, you poor thing. You think that will faze me?" Kojima summoned two monsters, one with Emma's face (a pink Tadman) and the other with Bryan's (a purple Twerkey). "Defeat these two, and then you will see who the real trickster is here..."
With that (rather confusing) statement out, the Shadow Queen disappeared, and everyone prepared themselves.
BEGIN BATTLE!
Enemy Targets: Tadman Emma and Bryan Twerkey
Enemy Health Points: 75 (Total), 30 (Tadman Emma), 45 (Bryan Twerkey)
Party Health Points: 3,850 (Total), 1600 (Janice), 900 (Akira), 850 (Jean-Luc), 500 (Apollo)
Janice attacks using Spin Slash. "Ready! Rarrrr!" Tadman Emma loses 30 HP and Bryan Twerkey loses 40 HP. Dark power shoots out of her sword and takes away a further 5 HP. Tadman Emma and Bryan Twerkey are defeated. "Yeah!"
Emma and Bryan's faces fly off the monsters. "Yahoo!" "Oh, yay!"
Team Janice wins!
END BATTLE!
"That seemed a little too easy," Janice commented.
"Well, you defeated both of them in one hit, so..." Jean-Luc replied, and then Emma and Bryan's faces returned.
"Oh, wow!"
"Yippee!"
Green-Eyed Elf: Emma
Elven Gatekeeper: Bryan
"Thanks for the help, Fab Fairies," Emma told them. "And you too, heroes."
"Yes, we thank you. Please have this. I don't have much, but it's something, at least," Bryan said as he gave them 25 gold, and Emma followed with a gift of 20.
"The Shadow Queen retreated to Karkaton," Abitha reported. "You know the way, I'm sure...ha ha! Our work here is done. Let's go, sisters."
"All right." Aria smiled. "Fare thee well!"
"See ya!" Ambre said quickly before joining.
"So, Akira," Janice said, "was there something you wanted to tell me? We were so busy talking last night that we didn't get to that."
"Uh...well... I, um..." He stuttered. "Actually, Janice...no, I can't. I'll tell you once our journey's over."
Janice paused. "Well, okay then. Off we go!"
Forgive me for the obnoxious bird.
