Uh...yeah, it's been a few weeks since I last updated...at least I think it's a few weeks...I've been working on different designs/outfits/forms for my Sonic OC (who I intend to introduce to you guys, don't worry), and I haven't had the time to update. But we're back in Miitopia 2, so yeah. I haven't been sleeping well lately, so it might take a while to complete this chapter... but I do not plan to leave this story hanging! I will not let you guys be left with a cliffhanger. Nope. I refuse.
Anywho, blahdy blahdy blah, disclaimer, I don't own Miitopia, yadda yadda story beats. No comments, readers, please. Thank you, roll chapter.

Meanwhile, Janice and her friends had arrived in Neksdor, and Horace pointed to a large castle in the distance. "There! That is our palace," he said. "Hurry, now! We had best warn my mama about Kojima!"

They all ran to the castle, and when they arrived, they found an empty room. "It doesn't look like anyone's here," Janice commented.

"Hey, my mama left a note!" Horace picked it up off the wall to his left and read it. "'To Horace and the heroes of Miitopia: I am in the castle's library with four other heroes. Please, if you are reading this, come to the library at once. We do not have much time to stop Kojima. From Queen Athena, Mama.' Ah, so she is in the library. Let us go. But first..." The prince turned to Ethan. "You are a skilled mage, are you not?"

Ethan scratched his head nervously. "Well, I dunno about 'skilled', per se, but I know quite a few spells. Why?"

"My mother should have some advice, and we may need you."

With that said, the group headed to the library, and Ethan explained to the others of his relationship to the royal family. "My parents died when I was about seven, and Madame Matilda took me in as her own. She taught me how to be a mage, and I was called to stop the Dark Lord at about eighteen years old. But since I left so abruptly, and because Madame Matilda passed away before I met the royal family, I wasn't properly prepared for Horace."

"Yes, we were never truly introduced...not on our terms. Ah, we've arrived." Horace opened a door, and inside was Apollo, Jean-Luc, Teresa, and Ricky, along with a young woman. "Mama, we're back!"

"Ah, there's my little boy." The woman hugged him, and then turned her attention to Janice and her friends. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Queen Athena, the ruler of Neksdor. What are your names?"

"I'm Janice," the Warrior replied.

"My name's Ethan," the mage said, even though the queen probably already knew that.

"I'm Cadence!" the chef said enthusiastically.

"Princess Antonia," Charlotte's sister responded, blushing when Horace smiled at her.

"And I'm Akira," the Reborn Mii concluded.

"Well, welcome to Neksdor Castle. It is a pleasure to meet you...although I wish it were on better terms."

"I concur. Mama—I mean, Mother—we need your advice. The Eternal is at risk of being freed once again, and these heroes have gathered together in the hopes of stopping her. Do you know anything that may prove useful to them?"

"Hm...well, I believe that Ethan can use one of his spells to find Kojima's next target. If she is stealing faces in a similar manner to the Dark Lord, then we should be ready."

"Okay, then. You guys might want to stand back, this might get crazy." Ethan closed his eyes in concentration and moved his wand about in an odd manner, chanting unintelligibly. Purple light came out of his wand, and four faces were revealed.

Two of them...were of people on Janice's team.

"So, the fiend intends to attack Bryan and Emma of the Elven Retreat?" Athena asked. "Then who are the other two?"

"Lazarus and Trinity!" Janice clenched her fist, an unknown anger boiling inside her. "We'd better hurry. Who knows what might—!" And as per the norm, the pain returned tenfold. "GAH! WOULD THIS JUST STOP ALREADY?!"

"Janice?" Akira tried to reach her, but his hand was swatted away. Janice gritted her teeth and kept her eyes firmly shut, and her mind's eye revealed another vision. That ambiguous figure from before was blasting what appeared to be the guardian's amulet with magic and seemed to be speaking to it, but none of the conversation could be heard. That was when the figure was defeated.

Ah...things are quite strange, are they not, my child? The guardian dulled the pain, and Janice opened her eyes after a moment. Shocked expressions abound stared back at her, and she cleared her throat for no real reason.

"Um...as I was saying, we should hurry to the Elven Retreat. Is there a way you can get us there quickly, Ethan?"

"I know a teleportation spell, but it's not a very good one. It could send us to the wrong place."

"Worth a shot, I guess. Antonia, you coming?" Janice turned to the princess, who was being pulled aside by Horace. The prince whispered something in her ear, and she nodded excitedly before they both turned to the queen.

"Mother," Horace began. "I've consulted with the younger princess of Greenhorne, and I believe I may have found a suitable wife."

Athena raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? I was unaware that Charlotte had any siblings."

"Yeah, it's been kept secret for a while. My father had no choice but to act as if I didn't exist so no one would get suspicious in case The Eternal was reawakened. But now that the Shadow Queen's running around, I came out and revealed my identity," Antonia explained.

"Hm...in that case..." Athena smiled. "I approve. We must consult Queen Charlotte about it, however, considering it's her sister." The desert queen turned to Janice and her companions. "You all go ahead. When Antonia is ready, she will go with you."

Antonia shook her head. "I swore to Janice I would stick with her until the end. And that's what I'll do, marriage or no. Is that okay, Horace?"

Horace nodded. "While we do share a special bond, the safety of the world comes first. I will remain here until my powers have awakened, and then I shall join you. Ethan, if you would?"

"Right. To the Elven Retreat!" Ethan raised his wand into the air, and in a flash of white, everyone but Athena and Horace were gone.

Yep, Antonia and Horace are engaged. A lot of the shipping in this series changed compared to the first story, and will change as it goes on for reasons to be explained. Pretty much every party member is going to have a love interest, but who they will be remains to be seen. With that said, I hope you enjoy.
Peace out and no comments! Thank you!
