Taking place very shortly after the vampires were sealed by Zeldris.

THIRD PERSON POV-

"Call everyone together! Ludociel of the archangels have an announcement"
The command rung through the fairy king's forest, headquarter of stigma.
The shouts woke Meliodas and Elizabeth up...well rather, it woke Meliodas up, who then gently shook his love awake.

"What do you think is going on?" Meliodas questioned Elizabeth while he picked a few leaves out of his hair and clothing.

"I have no idea, but knowing Ludociel it's probably about the war..." Elizabeth saud solemnly as she got up and wrapped her arms loosely around herself.
She hated the war.
And she hated how Ludociel was as obsessed about the war as he was.
Yes, the war had to come to an end, but Ludociel was going about it in the wrong way.
Elizabeth knee that, but she hadn't yet dated to tell Meliodas, her lover, that Ludociel intended to wipe out the demon clan.
It was too harsh of a punishment.
'The demons aren't the only clan fighting in this war, so why is it that only they should be punished?' Elizabeth thought desperately. She didn't even notice Meliodas coming up and standing in front of her with a worried expression.

"What's that frown on your face for? We don't know if this is good or bad news. For all we know the war could soon end" Meliodas tried to encourage Elizabeth as he lightly stroked her cheek.
Elizabeth chose not to say anything, instead she brought her hand up on top of Meliodas's hand in her cheek, in an effort to keep it there, and then she gave a very small nod.

"C'mon c'mon c'mon everyone! This is important!" The same Boyce shouted again, and the couple visibly flinched.

"Let's go"

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

"My dear comrades" Ludociel started what was obviously a speech on the staircase leading to the light of grace.
"Fellow goddesses, fairies, giants, humans" as Ludociel had accounted for every clan he very obviously glanced directly at Meliodas with what can only be districted as a disgusted look, and many others then glanced in the same direction with the exact same looks on their faces.
Meliodas was unfazed by such treatment, but it caused Elizabeth to latch onto his arm in a silent way of comforting him if he felt any sadness at all for being treated so wrongly.

"Tonight, we were brought her another step closer to once and for all ending this conflict. The holy war." Ludociel continued and then paused, making people mumble amongst themselves as to what could've happened.
As for Elizabeth and Meliodas, their hearts brightened up with hope, after all if the war were to end they could finally escape from this life.
"And who is to thank? Well, none others than our enemies themselves. For tonight, the second prince, the executionor, Zeldris of the demon clan, has single handedly wiped out the demon clans own allies"
Silence. Suspense.
"The vampires....are no more!"

Cheers erupted from everyone, everyone except two individuals.
Elizabeth and Meliodas.

Meliodas's vision became blurry in a single instant, and he only head a ringing to his ears.
'It's cant be...zeldris he-..he wouldn't...he would...NOT...kill..Gelda...would he? NO no of course he wouldn't! But...he did...right?' He thought, and as he came to realize, that it was most likely the truth. That zeldris had for some reason killed his own lover, whom he loved so so much, he became unsteady on his feet.
He felt like he was suffocating in the crowd of people who had the audacity to cheer.
And so, without even thinking, her ripped himself free from Elizabeth's hind and ran, deep into the forest.

What meliodas didn't know was that once the cheering had quieted down, Ludociel continued his speech, and Elizabeth heard it all. She knew she had to.
