Ringo guided Susan out into an outdoor area that only the 'important' people were allowed to go which meant total privacy.
"How do you feel?" Ringo asked. Susan pulled away from Ringo's hold. The nici rush was still in full effect but the cold breeze was making her feel a little better. Plus, she didn't like being powerless in Ringo's arms.
"I'm fine." She slurred and laid down on the grass. Ringo laughed.
"You don't look fine." He joked.
"Like you'd care anyway," Susan spoke into the grass. The grass was nice and cold, much better than all that heat inside.
Ringo took off his jacket and sat down beside her. "Here." He said and put his jacket over her like a blanket. "Rest yer head on my leg." Susan did as he said and used his leg as a cushion.
"I don't suppose you'll be trying that again." He chuckled. Susan laughed with him until her head started to hurt.
"Definitely not. How do you people cope with it?" Ringo looked out into the distance.
"You get used to it after a while." Susan looked down at the grass and sighed.
"I've made a complete fool of myself haven't I?" She sounded sad and embarrassed. It kinda made him feel bad for making fun of her.
"Everyone has their moments." He responded. Susan frowned.
"I'm laying on a strangers leg in a back garden." She groaned. "I think that's worse than most."
Ringo looked down at her. "So I'm a stranger am I?" He questioned with a smirk.
"Might as well be," Susan mumbled. "We don't even know anything about each other."
"I know you're a photographer." Ringo pointed out. Susan could feel the guilt rushing back in. "And yer friend said you were a good one."
"That's just an opinion," Susan replied glumly. She didn't even know how to use a camera.
"We'll see won't we?" He smiled.
"What?" Ringo sighed and looked out into the distance.
"Yer hard work you," He said laughing. Susan laughed a little, just enough to avoid hurting her head again.
"At least I'm not screaming in your face." She deflected. Ringo nodded.
"You got something right." He agreed. Susan could feel her vision going a little hazy. She didn't know why but suddenly she felt weightless.
"I think the nici rush is doing something to me." She slurred, rubbing her head.
"That won't be the nici rush." Ringo chuckled. "You've been drinking scotch Luv." Susan sat up and looked at him, her eyes squinted.
"Wha?" Immediately, she realised that she had made a mistake. She was seeing five different Ringo's at the same time and the whole world felt like it was spinning. "Oh." She said softly, her eyes rolling back.
"Susan!" Ringo exclaimed, springing to action and catching her as her head fell into his lap. "Susan?" He asked more worriedly. He suddenly depended on her safety. Her eyes were closed and for a moment he thought she had passed out.
She mumbled a few words, putting Ringo at ease but he couldn't tell whether she was talking English or not. He lightly brushed some of her hair away from her face and she turned her head.
Ringo went stiff. He was pretty sure that Susan was unaware that she was digging her head into his crotch but it was still making him feel uncomfortable for her. He knew the scotch would catch up with her at some point but he had never expected this. This was sure to go down as an unforgettable memory for him.
"Susan? Susan, are you awake?" In reply, Susan mumbled a few inaudible words. "Susan?" She mumbled a faint Hmm in reply. "Yer heads in me crotch." He murmured.
Susan moved her head back and rubbed her head. "Sorry." She mumbled.
After a few minutes of staying still, Ringo decided to break the silence. "Do you wanna go back in now?" Susan nodded weakly. Ringo stood up and held out his hand "Here." He offered.
Susan pushed his hand away. "I'll get up my self thank you very much." She said drunkenly.
"Ok then," Ringo smirked. This was going to be interesting.
Susan attempted to stand up but only made it halfway before collapsing back onto the grass. Ringo laughed and went to pick her up himself.
"I'm ok!" Susan barked, backing away from him like he was dangerous. "The grass is my friend." She smiled, caressing the grass. Ringo found it very humorous and weirdly didn't mind watching her caress grass like it was hair but he couldn't leave her there.
"No. Yer coming with me." He stated and picked her up by her arm. Susan looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Ooo you are a forceful man." She winked. Ringo sighed. She was definitely more than drunk.
He kept her up, intertwining her arm in his and led her back into the restaurant.
