Susan's eyes opened slowly, the sun welcoming her with a soft ray of sunshine. She waited a moment, giving her eyes time to adjust to her surroundings. She glanced down, Ringo's arms were missing. She couldn't feel his body either. She turned to her side, he wasn't there. She sat up, a little distressed. She was alone. She leaned over where Ringo had slept and looked over the edge of the bed. His clothes were gone. Did he just get dressed and leave?
Susan moved back on her side, trying to figure out what to do next. She had no idea where she was. She was only just realising how much of a risk she had taken.
She got up and quickly got dressed. The first thing she needed to do was find Barbara. She'd know what to do. The thought that she may be gone too was pressing in the back of Susan's mind but she couldn't let it get to her now.
As she went to leave, the door unlocked. Susan stopped, her heart dropped with her. The door opened and a familiar face was smiling at her warmly. It was Ringo with a full English breakfast on a tray. "Morning Luv." He gave her a peck on the cheek and placed the tray on the table. "Got you breakfast."
"Thanks," Susan said after a very confusing moment.
"I hope you're hungry." Ringo smiled. Susan smiled back although she was still mind boggled with pretty much everything.
"What time is it?" She asked.
"You're meant to say thank you." He laughed. "It's bout 9 Luv."
"Ok. Thanks, for the food. You're very kind." Susan took the tray and started eating it on the bed.
"How did you sleep?" Ringo sat at the edge of the bed. Susan couldn't tell if he was referring to his nightmare or if he was just being thoughtful. Did he know that he had a nightmare?
"Good." She nodded. "How bout you?"
"Better than usual." He smirked.
"Really?" Susan said abruptly, dropping her fork.
"Course!" He boomed. "With you in me arms." Now she knew he definitely didn't know about the nightmare. "Is there something wrong Luv?" He asked. Susan was evidently troubled.
"No, I'm fine. I guess I'm just a bit cranky." She brushed. Ringo gave her a sympathetic expression and leaned in, giving her another peck.
"You're cute when you're cranky." He whispered in her ear as he pulled away.
"I swear you compliment me about everything." Susan laughed. Ringo was red all over.
"So. Can't a guy compliment a cute girl?"
"You just did it again." She piped.
"Are you sure? I feel like there's still more to be complimented." He grinned. Susan could tell what he meant.
"Oh yeah?" She played along.
"How was it? For your first time." Susan stared at him. "Was it what you expected it to be?"
Susan smiled and looked down, her cheeks were strawberries. "You were okay." She looked up, smiling.
"Are you sure about that?" Ringo questioned. "From the way you screamed my name last night." Susan bit her lip remembering their night together. "Maybe I need to remind you." He moved closer towards her.
"What are you doing?" She shuffled a little as Ringo approached her. "Ritchie." She laughed nervously. "I'm eating."
Ringo stopped and nuzzled his nose against hers. "An English breakfast is good but I know what's better." Susan looked at him, impatiently waiting for him to fill her with pleasure like he did last night.
"What's that?" She whispered. Ringo leaned in, placing an agonisingly slow kiss on her parted lips.
"Did you like that?" He asked, his breath hot on her skin. Susan nodded innocently. He kissed her again more passionately, running his hand all over her thigh, leaving her breathless and wanting.
"Ringo." She breathed in between a kiss. "Stop." He pulled away slowly. Susan couldn't cope with this man.
"Sorry, Luv. You're irresistible." He smirked.
Ringo laid on the bed with his head balanced on his knuckle whilst Susan tucked into her breakfast.
"What's the plan for today then?" Susan asked as she ate.
"We've got a signing in a few hours. I say few." He sighed. "I mean 1. Maybe less." He rubbed his face tiredly.
"The signings must be easier than the shows."
Ringo shook his head. "They're just as draining. It's an endless cycle. My hand goes numb every time." He expressed. "And the queue never seems to get smaller."
"But they love you. You must feel good about that."
"I do but there's just not enough love to go around y' know."
"No idea." Susan simply replied.
"You'll see." Susan looked at him.
"What do you mean"? Ringo turned to her.
"Y'know. When we're at the signing."
"Richie." Sighed Susan. "I can't come to the signing."
Ringo looked at her questioningly. "Why? Course you can."
"Richard." She said sharply. Susan decided she'd use his full name when she meant business. "I can't come."
"But why Luv?" Ringo moaned. "I'll take care of you. I won't let them touch you." He took her hand. "I'll protect you." He kissed it softly.
"Richard." She said again. "I have a life too y' know."
"Course Luv." He caressed her hand. "I just want to spend more time with you." He purred.
"I do too but we can't just run into things."
"Is it because I've got a girlfriend?" Ringo asked quietly.
"No." Susan denied. "It's nothing to do with that."
"Are you upset with me?" He asked sadly.
"Ritchie." Susan put the tray down and cupped Ringo's face in her hands. "You haven't upset me. You've done nothing wrong. I promise we'll spend more time together. Let's just take things easy ok?" Susan smiled reassuringly. He nodded.
"Fine."
