While inside the taxi, Susan felt her nerves rushing into her body and her legs began to shake a little. Barbara was looking out the window, completely casual. She had that easy-going nature that Susan was so jealous of. Barbara turned to Susan and noticed her shaking.
"Stop shaking." She said simply.
"I can't." Susan moaned. "My legs have a mind of their own." Susan tried but it was no use. Her legs truly did have a mind of their own.
"Don't be scared. We'll have a great night." Barbara said in an attempt to cheer up her friend.
"You will," Susan spoke in a low voice. Her legs were turning into jelly and she couldn't do anything to stop it. Barbara sighed in annoyance.
"Will you stop moaning." She snapped. "If you keep thinking like this then you'll never have a good time in anything, let alone a date." That shut Susan up alright. It made her feel like a child being told off.
They both sat in silence for a moment. Barbara exhaled heavily and looked at her friend. "Look. I know you didn't expect this but please just try to be happy." She said feeling bad for what she said before. Susan glanced at her. "Okay?" Susan nodded. "Good."
"My legs won't stop shaking though." Susan pointed out and looked out her window.
"To hell with your legs." Barbara joked. Susan laughed and realised the night might not go as bad as she'd thought.

As they approached the restaurant, both of them stared in admiration at the building. It was a large magnificent building accommodated with lights all around the street.
"Oh my..." Barbara barely managed to get the words to come out of her open mouth.
"It looks beautiful." Susan admired the building. It was like nothing she had ever seen before. She had never eaten at a restaurant let alone a five star one.
The taxi pulled over by the side. Barbara looked at Susan, her legs were still shaking but not as much as before. Maybe she would be okay. Or maybe everything would go terribly wrong she thought.
"Ready?" She asked with a grin.
Susan forced a smile. "As ready as I'll ever be."
Barbara opened the door and they both got out, the taxi rushing off the moment their feet touched the concrete ground.
"Come on," Barbara said and they both walked into the restaurant.
———
The inside of the restaurant was even better than the outside. It looked bigger on the inside and fancier. There were chandeliers hanging from above and everyone in there wore expensive outfits. Susan and Barbara looked like children dressing up to them.
Susan turned to Barbara. "Where do we go?" She looked out into the distance. The place was packed and she felt completely lost.
A man in smart attire approached the young ladies.
"Good afternoon Madame's, can I help you in any way?" He asked politely. Barbara smiled.
"Hi, my name's Nancy. Nancy Lewis." She said confidently. Susan looked at Barbara with a puzzled expression. Nancy Lewis, she thought. Who's that? Barbara gestured to Susan. "And this is my friend Susan Wright. We're here with George Harrison." Hearing George's name, the man pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket.
Barbara winked at Susan. What was she up to? Now Susan was very worried that something wasn't right but Barbara seemed like she had everything under control.
The man nodded his head and put the piece of paper away. "This way Madame's, the gentlemen await." He said.
"Just a moment," Susan said abruptly and pulled Barbara away so that the man couldn't hear them talking. "What are you doing?" Susan asked in a small whisper.
"What?" Barbara seemed unaware.
"Nancy Lewis?" Barbara smiled.
"I know right. The name kinda suits me doesn't it?" Susan wasn't amused.
"But that's not your name is it." She replied sharply.
Barbara sighed. "No of course not."
"Well... What's going on? Why are you changing your name all of a sudden?"
"Are you sure you want to know?" Barbara sounded different. Like it was a warning.
"Tell me."
