Chapter 44

"Jiyeon," You heard a female voice called. You opened your eyes and stood up quickly.

What happened to me?

"Jiyeon," She called again. You turned in the direction of the voice.

"O-Oh, mother nature...how have you been?" You greeted.

"I'm alright, how about you?" She asked, approaching you closer.

"I--I"

"Oh Jiyeon, you must've found out now, right?" She asked.

You just nodded and kept your head down. You were suddenly exhausted and just sat on the ground.

You were surprised to see the goddess follow your action and caressed your head.

"You've been through many awful things, Jiyeon." She sighed.

"I wish I could help but I can't. I can't control fate." She said.

She sounded more motherly than your mother. You didn't know if you should be happy with that but you shrugged the feeling off.

"It's ok...by the way, how did I get here?" You asked.

"You fainted earlier, remember?" She chuckled a bit.

She's so beautiful~

"I did?" You were shocked. You honestly didn't know.

"You overused your powers." She said.

"O-Oh?"

"You wanted to protect Minhyuk so much." She simply stated.

"Oh,"

Soon, you heard voices calling you.

"What's happening?" You mumbled.

"They're calling you back now, take care." The goddess said as she waved her hands to you and smiled softly. You did the same.

"Jiyeon," Myungjun called again.

You opened your eyes, shocking them. You noticed that you were on their sofa.

"Holy--!" Jinwoo covered his mouth before he could even continue.

"Ow..." You winced holding your head.

"You fainted--" You cut Sanha off.

"I know, I overused my powers, that's all." You said shrugging.

"Oh," They said.

"Should we practice now?" You said and stood up.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Dongmin asked. You only nodded.

You guys were walking to their practice room when your stomach made a noise. You cursed under your breath.

"That's not me," Bin said.

"Me neither," Myungjun said.

The boys narrowed their eyes at each other. And then your stomach made another noise. They turned their attention to you.

You chuckled shyly.

You knew you were blushing in embarrassment by now.

"Aish, you didn't eat properly during lunch," Dongmin said, shaking his head.

"We should eat first!" Myungjun announced.
