Katie hated Chiron's new ideas for 'Movie Night Mondays'.
Who puts a movie night on a Monday?
Katie had decided to go anyway, and ended up one out of a whopping four people.
Just her luck that both Stolls decided to show.
Miranda had come with Katie, and all four of them were squeezed onto one of the Big House's couches.
Katie had tried to put as much distance between her and Travis as she could, but he somehow ended up sitting right next to her. Not wanting to be any closer to him than she had to, Katie pressed herself as close to the arm of the sofa as she could.
They decided to watch four movies, one of each person's choice.
They had already watched Connor's choice of 'Home Alone', 'Home Alone 2' picked by Travis, and Katie's selection of live-action 'Aladdin'. Now they were starting on Miranda's choice of 'It'.
Katie mentally cursed her half-sister for choosing a movie she knew Katie was terrified of, but refused to allow the Stoll brothers to see her scared, so she didn't say anything as the opening credits started playing.
By this time, they had already been watching movies for around five hours, starting 'It' at around midnight.
Katie was half-asleep, and so drowsy that she completely forgot who was sitting next to her. She allowed herself to lean back, wrapping herself in blankets, and curling up against a surprisingly welcoming figure, right as a scream from the TV split the night air.
She sat up, eyes wide, head spinning, trying to get her bearings, when a comforting hand was laid on her arm.
She turned to see Travis, a tired smile on his face, sitting very close to her.
He gently leaned her back into her previous position, and she was so calmed by the distraction from the horrifying movie, that she didn't even notice the soft kiss to her forehead, by one specific Stoll.
