Nothing is more expensive than an oppurtunity missed

{A week later}
Seven days spent in the wild were a feat. My only companions on my trek were an i-pod, a few clothes and a determination to start life again.
And that was how I came across Rich Creek, a hick town literally in the middle of nowhere. I hadn't thought where I would go to and live but after stumbling upon this small town in the mountains, which seemed desolated and quite far from my pack, I saw an opportunity. What could go wrong?
I shrugged and entered the town on foot. I tried to be inconspicuous which wasn't difficult since night had already fallen. Maybe it was my tiredness or my laziness but I decided not to check the area for more werewolves. That was the biggest mistake i ever made. I was way too tired to think of any others like me. My wolf was panting, my sight was dimming and i felt exhausted and my feet hurt.
Even though I was a strong wolf but I had been running for a week now, crossing several states. All wolves had their limitations, no matter how strong they physically were.
The first thing I needed was food then a place to crash. So that's what I did. I suppose I could have hunted but my wolf was at a limit so I ate at some crappy burger shop that looked ready to fall apart. But at least, the food tasted nice and that's all i cared about. Hey, don't get me wrong. It was cheap and i needed to save my cash. Having a cheque of fifteen thousand dollars was not exactly feasible for a girl in her late teens with no family to support her.
Suffice to say, it was an achievement that by the end of the day, I managed to find a cheap rental. Granted, the place looked like the worst place to live in the entire town (which was saying something) but by my haggard appearance, I couldn't really blame the realtor lady because I practically looked like a beggar.
I thanked her, somewhat gruffly and went to a shed. The cars, even the second hand ones were too expensive (God forbid) so I agreed with a rental motorbike. Now, this wasn't one of the times where I only brought that bike as it was cooler than a car (which it was, but that's beside the point) or that I liked bikes more than cars in general. No, this time, I believed that a bike was much more efficient than a car and much more feasible if I wanted a quick escape.
With my belly full and a place, I was ready to call it a day. Entering the falling apart studio , I was too tired to utter even a sigh. Well, it was either this or the old life. It was a compromise I had to make. I was so tired, i honestly couldn't care less. I found the stinky mattress, and making a mental note to buy a new one, I collapsed on it.

Something wet dripped on my face. My eyes closed, I tried to put it away with my hand. Another wet droplet landed on my outstreched palm. I groaned and opened an eye.
I found myself staring at the gross, dripping ceiling of some weird house. I sat up, alarmed before i remembered where i was. As i relaxed, i drifted back to sleep when another droplet fell on my eyes.
"What the-" I uttered a dozen curses as i sat up and stared at my battered wristwatch. Oh great, I thought staring as the needle struck seven a.m. I stretched before going to the restroom to brush my teeth and take a leak. I roughly rifled through my clothes slipped into my hoodie and jeans.
As i glanced out of the window, my heart sank. The sky was deary and gray and it was raining. I hated rain. Something bad always happened whenever it rained. I guess it wasn't my day.
