Ken's POV

God im so nervous... im currently waiting for (Y/N) to show up. Im already infront of the café sitting down and i already planned out the date. There is a harbour nearby and for the next few days they're having a carnaval of sorts. There's gonna be games, entertainment, rides, shows, all sorts of things and given that (Y/N) always has such a fun personality, i think this place would be perfect.

I often get self-concious and this is one of those moments. My outfit was a simple white t-shirt with a black leather jacket and black jeans. I wanted to look nice but im kind of scared if he thinks im trying too hard, and considering i was up in the mirror for almost an hour trying out different outfirs, i dont blame him.

After a few more minutes of shoving my weight around, opening and closing my phone, and tapping my toes. A familiar voice called over to me.

"Kaneki hey!"

I turned around only to be met by...

"Oh heyy (Y/N)!"

He wiggled about while giggling cutely and i took a glance at his outfit.

You can imagine whatever outfit you like as it doesn't matter much, and i'd hate to break your imagination by placing my own description so i'll leave this part to you.

(Y/N) "sorry im late, took me awhile to get ready"

Ken "i can see that. You look adorable."

(Y/N) blushed and shifted around. God give me strength, everything about him is adorable!

After that we decided to start the date. I took his hand in mine and we walked to the harbour happily. I took a steady and slow pace while (Y/N) seemed to prance every now and again and his attention is very easily drawn by everything atound him, a passing butterfly for example. Heh... he really is a little kid.

Timeskip

"Wow.... look at all this..." (Y/N) stated in amazement as we stood in front of the entrance to the carnaval. We walked to the ticket booth and bought two. After we entered, i could see (Y/N)'s eyes glimmer and the inner-child within him awaken even more. It was like taking a kid to a candy store, and just like that referance, (Y/N) is quick to move about and see literally everything there is to see.

After awhile of chasing him, i managed to catch him and hold his hand again (im not letting go this time, this kid has way too much energy).

Whith me keeping him in check, we slowed our pace to a normal walk as we go by the varous entertainments one by one. Slowly this time.

We walked over to a cotton-candy stand and bought two, one for each of us. I got a blue one while (Y/N) got a pink one. We ate it as we continued walking past the crowd and we eventually made it to a stand that had cans stacked on a pyramid shape. (Y/N)'s attention seemed to be fixed on a certain stuffed bear hanging on the stand.

I talked to the stand-owner and decided to play. He gave me three balls to throw at the cans, knock them down and you get a prize, you all know the drill by now. I was sure that this game is rigged, but hey! Ghoul strength.

I could see the stand-owner smirking, confident that i was going to lose. I could also see (Y/N)'s determined and hopeful face next to me.

Slowing my breaths, i focused. My eyes were fixed on the can at the botom center. With a single throw, i knocked all of it down. (Y/N) was jumping and cheering hapily as i returned the smirk to the stand-owner who looked at me suprisingly.

I told (Y/N) to pick a toy and he chose a stuffed (F/A) Favourite Animal. The stand owner gave it to him begrudgingly as he cuddled it and we went along to the next attractions.

Timeskip

After wandering around, we found ourselves in one of the carts of a ferris-wheel. We sat across from eachother with (Y/N) still holding his stuffed animal in one hand as we looked out and enjoyed the view.

We could see the harbour with all it's bright lights glimering beautifuly. The night sky was dotted with stars shining, covering the astral void in a carpet of twilight diamonds. And infront of me was the best view of all... my new lover. I can't remember the last time i felt this happy.

We enjoyed our ride in blissful silence and after which i took his hand and we walked out of the harbour. After we were out, (Y/N) called his driver who arrived a short while after. We both went in as the driver dropped me off infront of my appartment. I said my goodbye to (Y/N) and walked towards the building but was stopped halfway by (Y/N) calling my name.

I turned back and was suprised... he gave me a kiss on the cheek before saying goodbye and running back into his car.

As he left, i rubbed the cheek that he kissed and smiled to myself. Oh this kid....
