The Day I Met Him

Ken's POV

It's been about a year since the Aogiri disbanded. After our hide-out was found, soldiers flooded the place, shooting, stabbing, and burning tge place to the ground. Killed almost everyone, Only me and a handful of others escaped.

I now wander these streets aimless, no place to go to for shelter and no one company by my side... The Aogiri were the only people i'd call my friends and now they're dead.

I saw that new café that opened up on the other side of the road and thought i'd stop by for a drink, as is what i normally do. Maybe that'll get all this restlesness out of my head.

As i slowly walked to the door, i couldn't help but notice a few men in trench coats. There were three of them and theh were speaking in hushed tones. They seem to have spotted something as one of them pointed into an aley way and they ran into it. I couldn't help but investigate further.

I rushed over to follow them and as i turned a corner, i saw one of them get stabbed by a kagune - a red peace of ghoul tendril. The stabbed guy was then flung backwards and hit a wall. Blood splattered everywhere, there's no denying it, he's dead.

But after that, they seem to have rushed towards the Kagune, the ghoul is probably making a run for it and these other two chasing him are probably here to exterminate him. I gotta help.

I rushed after the three, turning left and right and repeat. After a few minutes of chase, i saw the ghoul they were chasing cornered, he was bleeding profusely and looking exhausted. The ghoul inspectors came closer and the poor thing looked like he could barely lift himself up anymore.

"Oi!" I called out to the ghoul inspectors.

They turned to me but simply shrugged me off, telling me to go away or things will get messy.

Oh i'll show them messy....

I activated my Kagune, four red fleshy tendrils sprouted from my back. The two were caught off guard and as they had their attention to me, the ghoul they were chasing attacked, stabbing one of them and throwing the other one to the wall right next to me. I picked up the initiative and finished both of them off.

After the whole fight was finished i turned my attention back to the ghoul infront of me. He was panting heavily and holding his bleeding stomach. I slowly walked up to him and crouched infront of him.

"Can you heal?" I asked him.

"Yes... i just need time..." He replied still panting though not as viciously as before, his face aiming towards the floor.

"Thank you.... for saving me.." He said to me. As he did so he looked to me, his face covered with dust and blood , assuming from the men we fought earlier but this made it hard to get a grasp of his details.

"You're welcome." I replied back.

"It's not safe here... there were more chasing me..." He said

Noticing the situation, i asked him if there is any place he knows we could go to. Suprisingly enough he did. He told me to dial a number on my phone and give it to him. The recepiant picked up and he told the person on the other side his situation. He asked me if i could help him get to the streets and so i did, i put his left arm over my shoulder and walked him towards the sidewalk.

Thankfuly it was night and there arent many people outside. After a minute or so a black car showed up, the driver came out and we helped him into the car. I was expecting to leave but he stopped me.

"Wait!" The wounded ghoul inquired. "What's your name?"

"Kaneki. Kaneki Ken" i replied

"Im (Y/N) (L/N)."

Wait... (L/N)? I would question him more but seeing his condition its best i don't keep him here.

We both said our farewells and the driver bowed to me before leaving with (Y/N).

The (L/N).... if he is indeed the same, he might be part of the richest family in Japan.... The (L/N)'s own a massive trading company that ships objects to all arround the world. They are known to be a fierce economic and political power and there are many rumors abuzz about them... if he is part of this family, i may have just saved one of Japan's most powerful populus.

Heh... this is sure to get interesting.

Yaay first chapter is done! I wanted to make this fanfic for awhile now but have been super busy with school even with the pandemic. But besides this i hope you have all enjoyed this story, i'll be sure to update it again in the near future.
