"Thank you so much for coming with me tonight especially on such short notice" Tokio smiled at me and rested her hand on my knee.
"I wasn't doing anything and I'm not gonna turn down money" I chuckled "also I've never been someone's arm candy".
She sighed "I was just thinking about this gala and I just didn't want to go alone" she smirked at me "you like the dress I got you" she asked.
"Are you kidding" I looked down at it "how could I not" the driver then announced to us that we're at our destination.
I got out of the car first and when Tokio did she linked our arms together "can I ask you a question" I whispered to her while we were walking in "are you sure you don't mind people seeing us you know since I'm seventeen" she giggled.
"You do not look seventeen and I highly doubt anyone here will know you" we walked into this huge mansion filled with people who looked filthy rich.
I felt my phone vibrate making me look at it.
Stardust: thinking about you.
A small smile came to my face.
Hailey: how can you be thinking about me if you for one don't even know what I look like and don't know me.
That brought me back to the night I got Zendaya to help me send her nudes and how she gave out to me when I asked if I should put my face in them.
She instantly texted back.
Stardust: well I'm thinking about when we can finally meet each other.
I felt Tokio's grip slightly tighten to get my attention "I'm not paying you to be on your phone" she said I nodded quickly.
"Of course I'm sorry" I apologised, I felt my phone vibrate but I didn't reach for it.
"So what exactly is happening here" I asked Tokio while we were walking by people and she would say hello to a few.
"Well this is an auction for charity of course and I heard that they are putting up some vintage couture" she had a big smile on her face.
There was some beautiful stuff being put up, it was the prices that they got sold for that shocked me. Tokio asked for my opinion on all of the stuff that got put up each time another piece was presented.
"What do you think of that" she bit her lip. I looked at the stage to see a beautiful vintage Chanel jacket.
"Oh my god" I quietly gasped "it's gorgeous" I whispered to her.
"Do you want it" she was still biting her lip.
"No I couldn't" the man standing at the podium started the bidding at twelve thousand "wow, that's expensive" I said to myself.
A woman that I couldn't see put up one of her paddles "can I say twelve thousand five hundred" someone else put their paddle up.
"Tell me you want it and I'll get it" she smirked at me, I looked at the coat in all it's glory up on the stage.
"I want it" Tokio put her paddle and said.
"Fifteen thousand" she had a glorious smile on her face.
The man smiled at her "fifteen thousand going once" he was then interrupted by another voice.
"Fifteen thousand seven hundred" it sounded awfully familiar.
"Seventeen thousand" Tokio bided.
This is crazy, at least it's going to charity.
"Going once, going twice" he held his hammer for a moment waiting for a voice to interrupt him but he was met with silence "sold to my gorgeous colleague Tokio" she stood up like the people before did and the rest of the audience appalled.
I looked up at her cause I was still sitting down but a face across the room caught my eyes that was also staring at Tokio while clapping.
I literally felt the blood leave my face. It's Miss Grande. My staring made her catch my nervous gaze and her eyes shot out of her sockets and then she furrowed her eyebrows.
Tokio sat back down beside me and whispered in my ear all while I was still holding eye contact with Miss Grande "you owe me one" she sat back in her seat properly and I broke my staring contest with my best friends mom.
The auction ended and I tugged at Tokio's arm "we have to go" she looked confused.
"And leave your seventeen thousand jacket" she pulled a face and then touched my head "are you sick" I took her hand away.
"No it's just".
"Tokio" Miss Grande came up to us.
Someone kill me.
"I would say congratulations on getting the beautiful Chanel jacket but I was trying to get it myself" the both laughed.
Could I be dreaming, or in a nightmare.
Nightmare sounds about right.
"Better luck next time" just as Tokio said that a young man in a suit came up to her and handed her the jacket, as they were talking Ariana and I exchanged looks.
I motioned for her not to say anything by pretending to zip my lips and she looked sternly at me.
"I'm gonna go to the bathroom" I whispered to Tokio and she nodded.
I walked into the fancy laboratory after getting by all those people and placed my hands on the sink letting out a breath, the voices and music outside were muffled by the walls.
I heard someone walk in but knew who it was already "explain" I turned around to Zendaya's mom with a nervous smile on my face.
"I don't even know what to say" was the only thing I could come up with.
"She's your friend Tokio" I nodded "only your friend, you're not fucking her are you" she asked.
"God no" I instantly said lying.
What's the difference between me sleeping with Tokio when I nearly slept with her.
She sighed and leaned against the sink beside me "what are you doing here" I asked.
"I don't know if your friend" she emphasised friend "Tokio told you but I'm the accountant for Fendi" a shocked expression came on my face and she laughed.
"You stopped coming over to the house" she looked at me intently.
"Yeah" I awkwardly said "I did".
"Was it Because of Valentines night" I nodded with a tight lipped smile "I don't want that to get in the way of your friendship with Zendaya" she side hugged me and I stiffened.
"Don't worry I'm not letting it" I relaxed and hugged her back.
"You better get going back to your friend" she playfully pushed me and I laughed.
I walked out and my phone buzzed again. Thinking it was Tokio asking where I was I took it out instead it was from Stardust.
I read the message she sent me at the beginning of the night.
Stardust: when can I meet you.
Then the next message she just sent me.
Stardust: don't get all shy on me now.
I typed back before I got to Tokio.
Hailey: how about tomorrow.
"There you are" Tokio said when I came up to her "let's get out of here" she said.
"Gladly".
