The match scraped against the side of the box, from where it came from multiple times. When finally lit, it burned for a few seconds, the flame rubbing from the brown circle to the wooden part, the match then attached itself to the beginning of the cigarette, sharing its flame.
"Something is up" Zendaya took a drag from the cigarette.
"What do you mean" Megan stood there confused.
The cigarette was held perfectly between her two fingers "it's Y/n" she took another puff "something isn't right and I know it".
Both of them sat outside at the window to Y/n's chemistry class. "When did you start to smoke" Megan asked confused since she's never seen her friend smoke before.
"It's for character Megan" she threw the end of it away "something is up with Y/n".
"Okay Zendaya you've said that like fifteen times since you pulled me out of my maths class, we were doing revision over the test as well" she whined.
"Enough about math" Zendaya looked into the class to see her best friend "we need to figure this out".
"Well it would help a lot of you could just tell me what's wrong" Megan was started to get frustrated at not knowing what was going on.
"Walk with me" she quickly sat up off of the bench, to walk back into the school just as the bell rang.
"Y/n is going to break up with Camila" Megan gasped as the both of them stood at the corner watching Y/n at her locker.
"What" she almost screamed until Zendaya shoved her.
"I know, I know" she looked back at Y/n. "She hasn't been the same since that day" Megan furrowed her eyebrows.
"What day" she asked.
Zendaya stared at the back of Y/n and thought, I'm Morgan fucking Freeman and this is the beginning of the third act. I'm gonna find out what you're hiding.
"Walk with me" she walked away fast making Megan have to run a little.
"Are we just not going to go to class today" Megan asked as they both sat in the park beside their school.
Zendaya lit another cigarette "have you even confronted Y/n about this" Zendaya shook her head as she took another puff. "Well doesn't that seem like the first logical step".
Zendaya shook her head "honestly Megan, this whole thing is beyond logical".
"I'm really gonna need the whole story Zendaya or else I'm just going to have to go back to class" the dark haired girl stood up only for Zendaya to push her back down in the swing seat.
"Okay I'll tell you" she took another drag. "I signed Y/n up for this website, where she goes meets older women and they give her money". She shrugged her shoulders "it was for college".
She lit another cigarette and walked right up to Megan "but get this" she blew some smoke in Megan's face as she spoke making her sit up.
"Ze the cigarettes are killing me" she waved her hand multiple times to get the smoke from her face.
"Listen, listen" Zendaya walked up to her friend fast "we all know Y/n was crazy about Camila right" Megan nodded her head.
"So she signs up to this, meets this woman called Tokio".
"That's a cool name actually" Megan interrupted her.
"I know right" she took another drag "she went out to Tokio, everything was fine, she kept me included in everything, she was still same old Y/n, still crazy about Camila" Megan nodded paying her full attention.
"Then this person called Stardust texted her".
"That's a weird name" Megan commented, making Zendaya Shake her head.
"That wasn't her name and Y/n never told me it, they were texting for weeks, way more than her and Tokio and she never told me anything about her and when I mean texting, I don't mean regular fucking text" she took a puff "they were sexting".
She threw the small bit of the cigarette away again "side note, very nice dick, very clean room".
"Wait so do you think Y/n caught feelings for this person" Zendaya shrugged her shoulders.
"When they met up, I picked her up after and she was so off but, I didn't want to be that pushy friend. Ever since she met this 'Stardust' she hasn't been the same". Megan furrowed her eyebrows.
"I knew she was being a bit off but not that bad" Zendaya shook her head.
"She stopped coming over to my house, even when she's with me she barely speaks to me, she doesn't like Camila anymore" she gave Megan a look.
"Whoever this Stardust is, I'm gonna find out who she is" Zendaya said serious.
"I'm gonna get my fucking friend back".
