Chapter 12: What happens in the dark, comes to light

Raheem entered his condo. He was stressed, he had a lot going on. The fourth year he'd be going without his dad, and the snake on his team. Seemed like when he was happy, someone or something would ruin his happiness and he hated that. He wanted to live his life with no problems, but he knew that wouldn't happen. The devil was always working.

He went upstairs to find Kai laid on his bed, sleeping. He smiled, that's what made him happy and kept him happy nowadays. She was never sad or moping, she was smiling nonstop and he loved that, she was full of life. Being surrounded around happy people made him happy, and his happy person was Kai.

He went inside his bathroom and undressed. He needed a shower, something that helped him relieve some stress. He turned the water on, making sure he made it warm. He got inside, and let the shower run down his chest and face. He had so much shit running through his mind, he just hated his life to be honest. He would've been took himself away, but his mom kept him going.

"You alright?"

Raheem turned around. He hadn't even heard the shower door open up. Kai was standing there, staring at him. She'd never seen him naked before, and she looked normal like she had no care in the world.

He chuckled, "You bold girl, I'm good."

Kai smiled and closed the shower door. She could sense his lying and knew something was wrong. She had been around him long enough to know he wasn't okay.

"I want to know every detail when your lying ass get out the shower." Kai left out the bathroom.

Raheem laughed and washed up, so he could hurry up.

Ten minutes later, Raheem entered his room. He had nothing on, but a towel. Kai hadn't looked up from her phone, her panties were already too soaked. He put on his boxers, and sweat pants with a white tee. When he applied his deodorant, he plopped down on his bed.

"Wassup with you fat girl?" Raheem questioned.

Kai looked at him. That was his 'nick name' for her, since she loved food. She would cook everything in Raheem's kitchen up, but Raheem had no complaints because he loved food himself.

"No, what's up with you?" Kai said.

He sighed. He wanted no one in his problems because he wanted nobody to think he needed their sympathy. He had opened up to Kai about some strange things though, and he figured some more shit couldn't hurt. He trusted her.

"Alright, here we go." He started.

He told Kai everything. From her meeting Linda to the snake. Kai was eager about meeting Linda, but then again cautious about whoever disliked Raheem. He needed to be safe, she would be devastated if something happened to him because she'd grown attached.

"Raheem be careful baby." Kai said. "I know we're just becoming like this and all, but I like you and I'd be really hurt if anything happened to you."

Hearing those words from her made him know he needed and had to be safe, he couldn't give up. He had two people who cared for him, his mother and Kai and he was gone make them happy, couldn't deal forever.

He grabbed Kai's face, and brought her down to kiss him. The peck was nothing, but to them it was something. He didn't want to go deep into the kiss, because he knew they'd both not be able to control themselves and he liked the pace that they were taking things. He pulled back, while both of them stared at eachother. A smile crept on Kai's face, she couldn't hold that.

"Whatchu smiling for ugly?" Raheem laughed.

She shrugged and glanced at Raheem's ringing phone. The display read: Diamond

Kai read the number and couldn't believe what she seen. Diamond and Raheem conversed? She hoped and prayed nothing happened between them, she would dislike Diamond. That's probably why Diamond was acting shady towards her that night.

Raheem glanced at his screen and sighed. He hadn't spoken to her since he helped her ass and asked if she needed a ride, he didn't want nothing to do with her nomore. The head was good, but she had too much drama.

He answered and Kai watched.

"Yeah?" He said.

Diamond was rambling about how she needed some cash and she'd do anything for him to get some and some more shit any broke bitch would say.

"Aye, I'm good. That was a one time thing, I'm with my girl. Hit you later shawty." He replied, before hanging up.

Kai couldn't help the words that left her mouth. She was curious and jealous.

"You know that bitch?" She said. "I swear I'm gone beat her for the old and the new, always on somebody else nigga dick-"

"Chill Kai, you know her? Who is she to you?" He was confused.

"She's like a sister, she was supposed to pick me up that night and never showed. Then she got her ass beat some weeks ago and I picked her up, and she was acting shady." She replied. "Y'all did anything?"

Raheem ran his hands down his face. If he would've known they knew eachother, he wouldn't have even looked her way but I mean he didn't know so who was to blame?

"She gave me head and I fucked her, I ain't get no nut though. She loose, I'm sorry." He said.

Kai was kind of boiling, but she couldn't blame neither of them because neither of them knew. She made a mental note to remind Diamond's ass to not contact him again or she was gone beat her ass.

"And she got beat up by some girl named Kim, you know the one we seen at Rolio's with the blue hair." He said. "They said she slept with Kim's baby daddy, someone named Brandon."

Kai's ears perked up. She hopped up, and grabbed her phone. She dialed Diamond's number with no hesitation, only to be sent to the voicemail. She was gone beat Diamond's ass so good, she hoped Diamond was at home because she was about to make a trip over there.

"Take me to the bitch house." She yelled.

"No Kai, you ain't fighting. Too cute for that shit, sit down." He grabbed her arm.

She snatched back and started putting her shoes on. Raheem pulled her down, and sat her on the bed. He liked her when she was mad, that was turn on.

"Stop ma." He said.

Kai begin crying. She was so tired. Tired of everything, these bitches, the niggas, school and a whole bunch of shit. Raheem laid her on his chest, wiping her tears and the strands of hair out of her face. He wondered what was so bad that she had to cry, he wanted to ask but he wanted her tears long gone before she told him.

After fifteen minutes, Kai was asleep on his chest with her tear stained face. Raheem was going to do her a favor, something he'd never did before.

He slid Kai's jeans down and tossed them on the floor. She hadn't woke up, only moved around and tossed. He slid her panties to the side which made her open her eyes just a little because the cold air hit her shaved cat.

Raheem admired the jewel before him. He liked his brown and bare, and that's how Kai's was. Perfect. He lowered his head down there and hovered his mouth over it. He put his tongue inside which made Kai gasp and she was wide awake now. Raheem swirled his tongue up and down and around, he tasted her sweet juices that were spilling. He buried his face inside and ate it until he felt her legs shaking. Kai pushed his head down and grinded against his face until she came and Raheem licked them up.

"Fuck." She said, before going right back to sleep.
