Chapter Thirty

Amber's POV

Its after school today was filled with people asking each other to prom. I was planning something special for Jessica and I got everyone helping me. Right now we are going to Amelia's school.

When I pull up to the school Amelia,Jenny,and Brandon are waiting. They get in the car "hey kiddos." I say "hey Amber." They all say. Then Jessica greets them and they respond. "Alright what flavor cake mix we getting." I asked while driving to the grocery store. "Well Jordan's favorite flavor is red velvet." Brandon says.

"Okay." I say parking the car in the parking lot of the grocery store. We all exit they car and walk into the store and head straight for the aisle with cake mix. "How many boxes should we get?" Amelia asked us "I say 4 so we can use two for the cupcakes and then make a cake." Jessica said. Amelia grabbed 4 boxes while I got the icing and the gel to write.

"Hey babe you wanna go shopping for prom tomorrow?" I asked Jessica. "Yeah but I wanna wear a suit." Jessica said excitedly "okay" I said a laughing at her a little bit. "Come on guys lets go to the register." I called out to the kids. We all went to the register. Once it's our turn we start putting our stuff on the conveyor belt and the man scan it. "We lucky we didn't get Emily." Jessica said.

"Oh that Emily girl quit she said she was going to get her girl back." The man said. "Oh gosh." I said "what happened?" The man asked "she's obsessed with me." I said panicked "oh I feel bad for you." He said. I gave him the money then we left.

When we got home we got straight to work.

Right now Amelia is freaking out because she thinks that we forgot the gel for the cupcakes. "Am we have to go back." She said pulling me. I laugh at her,she stops "Amber why are you laughing it's not funny now lets go." "Mia calm down I got the gel when I got the icing." I said trying to control my laughter. "So you made me freak out for nothing." I nodded my head. "I hate you." She said "no you don't you love me." I said hugging her. "Whatever" she said smiling.

"You know what's one thing we forgot?" Jessica said. "What?" Me and Amelia said. "A box to put the cupcakes in." She said "oh shit." I said because we totally forgot about a box. "I'll go get one." I said. So I got in my car and drove back to the store.

As I'm picking out a box I hear someone call my name. I turn around and see Jayden."Hey Jayden" I say "Hey Amber What you doing her?" He ask. I explain to him what they wanna do for his brother. "Oh that's cool see you around." He said leaving "bye."

When I get home we pack the cupcakes into the box and Jenny ,Amelia, and Brandon iced the cake,then we all ate cake. "So what colors are y'all going to wear to prom." Jenny asked "we don't know yet." Jessica answered "we're skipping school tomorrow I already told my mom she's fine with it." I said

Jessica gasped "what?" I asked confused. "Amber skip school that's not the nerd I know." She said playfully. "Whatever but please see if you mom is okay with it." She got on her phone and texted her mom. "She's fine with it." I kissed her "good" I said. "Eww get a room." Amelia said "be quiet your just hating." I said.

"I'm not." Amelia said smiling "okay if you say so." I said as Amelia cuddle up to Jenny. Brandon phone rings and he excuse himself. When he comes back he had to go so we said our goodbyes and he left.

Now me and Jessica are cuddling in my bed. "I love you." Jessica says. "I love you too." I said kissing her head. "I can't wait for prom it's 3 weeks away." Jessica said excitedly. "Me too." I said "are going to the party on Friday?" She asked me "No I don't really do party's." I said "okay then I'm not going." She said. "No babe go, you should have fun."

She pouts "but why would I go if your not there and besides me and you can have some fun." She said smirking at me. "I know we can but I want you to go out and have fun." I said grabbing her hand and holding it. "Then you should go out and have some fun too. Come with me and if you get uncomfortable then we'll leave automatically." She compromised "okay."

She squealed then kissed me on the cheek. "Thank you so much." She said laying on me. "You know I'm only going so you can have fun?" I said "babe I want you to have fun too so when we go please have fun for me." She said. "Okay I love you." "Love you too." She said before falling asleep.
