The last chapter
Yakap niya ang sarili habang pinapakinggan ang pag hampas ng alon sa dalampasigan, it's been four years since they exchanged vows to each other. That was the most special day of her life, an event that changed their life, the day where they committed the holy matrimony.
Years have passed yet they're still in love with each other, arguments are present but they fixed it. Hurdles came, they faced it together. So this is how my life was supposed to be? She can't help but to tell herself. Being in Lance's embrace made her feel like at home, no scratch that, he is her home. This is their home, beside the bewitching sea. Sand as their floor, salty wind for them to breathe.
Everything is perfect.
Her life is perfect despite all of those obstacles, with Lance by her side, Sunshine conquered it all.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Her heart melted upon hearing that tiny voice, she looked at her son lovingly.
"Yes, anak? May kailangan ka ba?" Malambing na tanong ni Sunshine.
"Mommy, I love you! Hihi."
"I love you too, anak."
She rolled her eyes, sabi na e, may kailangan.
You already played awhile ago, diba may usapan tayo? No playing of gadgets before bed time." Bahagya naman itong ngumuso.
She named her son after the child of sea because when her and Lance travelled to Hawaii to have their honeymoon, they decided to stay there until she gave birth. Pero apat na taong gulang na ang anak niya ay hindi parin sila umuuwi sa Pilipinas, they love it here, especially si Dylan na mahal na mahal ang dagat. Their son disagrees with the thought of going back to the Philippines, but sadly, he must.
Nananabik na kasi ang magulang nila na makita ang anak, na miss niya rin ang mga pokpok and let's not forget the fact that both of them has business to take care of. Someday, their company will be in Dylan's hands.
Kahit namamalagi sa ibang bansa ay tinuruan parin nila ang anak na mag tagalog, after all, they're Filipinos by heart and race. Dylan just turned 4 so they need to go back in Philippines by summer to enroll him in primary school, matigas pa naman ang ulo ng anak.
"Fine, but when I say that it's time to sleep. Sleep. Okay?"
"Yehey! Thanks mommy!" Tumalon ito sa saya at niyakap ang bewang niya, Dylan is too tall for his age.
"Sige anak, let's go down."
"Hi, love. I cooked dinner for tonight."
