Okay I had to redo this chapter and like 3 people saw the original but nevertheless enjoy
You arrived at Zora's Domain after a lot of fighting monsters. It was over a day later, nightfall once again. But in the morning, you heard an announcement from Queen Zelda across Hyrule saying:
I need Link and all Hyrulean guards at Hyrule Castle for our important annual meeting for the Lynel Problem. THIS MEETING CAN'T BE MISSED NO MATTER WHAT!
You laughed knowing there was nothing Link could do about your disappearance, and Zelda would probably just say you couldn't have gone too far. But upon arriving at Zora's domain, you were greeted by Prince Sidon.
"Jasper! What are you doing here?" He tilted his head.
"I came to just hang out here. Ya know, take a break." You lied. Well, sort of.
"Well then would you like to come with me?"
"Of course!"
You followed him as he led you around the domain for a while, when something about him felt familiar to you. But you couldn't quite get it yet.
"Prince Sidon?" You looked up at him.
"Yes Jasper?"
"Do you ever get lonely around here?"
"Well, sure sometimes. There are some people I miss with all of my heart, including my sister and mother." He sighed.
"I could visit more often."
"That would be nice."
Something struck you, like a memory shooting at you at full blast. You passed out. What felt like just moments later, you woke up in a dark room on a huge bed. You recognized it almost immediately. It was Sidon's room.
"Jasper? Are you okay?" In an instant, Sidon was above you, he looked terribly worried.
"Who's Jasper? What happened?" You shook your head a bit.
"You're Jasper. You passed out and I took you to my room to wait for you to wake up."
"Sidon, my name isn't Jasper. You know my name." Sidon looked at you confused.
"You're name isn't Jasper?" You were shocked. How did he not remember your name. Also why did he look so much older?
"Why do you look so much older? Last time I saw you, you were just a kid."
"What are you talking about?"
"Sidon! What happened to you! Have you lost your memory? I'm _____!" Sidon looked at you shocked. He hung his head low and started laughing, but a tear ran down his cheek. "What?! What did I say?!"
"I knew it was you, _____." Just then, you remembered both sides of the story. You lost your memory after being frozen for a century under Hyrule, and then you were asked to hide your identity to Sidon. But why? You still didn't get it, even after understanding all sides of this crazy story.
"What happened?" You choked up, and Sidon sat down and hugged you tightly.
"Shhh... _____, it's okay. A lot happened, but you'll be okay. I'm here for you. We all are."
"Why did I have to go by the name of Jasper?"
"They didn't want to overwhelm me or some of the younger generations of zora, so they kept you're identity a secret. They wanted me to ease into realizing you were back but I recognized you immediately."
"How?"
"How could I not? You were my best friend back then. And even to this day I held you close to my heart all those years. And I became rather close with Link, seeing as we suffered similar tragedies."
"What did you do when you realized it was me?"
"I was going to talk to my father about it, but instead I went to my room and was angry knowing there was nothing I could do about it. I would just make a fool out of myself if I tried. Besides, if you didn't have your memory, what was the point?"
"But I knew my real name the whole time."
"But you wouldn't have thought to put your memory on the line like that. Especially if you thought it could've been your life."
"I know..."
"I have something for you, though." Sidon got up, and reached under his bed to pull out a small box. It was light blue with a golden ribbon. He handed it to you. And sat next to you.
"Open it."
You opened it, and inside was a silver diamond necklace with the zora symbol formed in the middle with sapphire stones. It was beautiful. But it came with a memory.
"_____!" Sidon ran towards you, his tail wagging behind him.
"Sidon!" You exclaimed as he hugged you.
"Happy 12th birthday!" He handed you a small golden box with a light blue ribbon. You opened it and inside was a silver diamond necklace with the middle with sapphire stones.
"I love it!"
"I knew you would!"
"Didn't I lose this when I was like 16?" You asked him.
"Yes, but I found it on Ploymus Mountain."
"Really?"
"It was supposed to be your birthday present 110 years ago, but I guess I didn't get the chance to give it to you."
"I guess not. Thank you, Sidon. This means a lot that you found this again for me." You smiled and even blushed a bit. Apparently Sidon noticed.
"Are you blushing?" He asked with a laugh.
"N-No!" You tried to cover your face but it was too late.
"Sure." Sidon smirked.
"It's just really hot in here."
"_____, it's like 40 degrees in here."
"W-Well I spent 110 years trapped in ice so this is considered hot to me!"
"Whatever you say, _____." You looked down at the floor. You just thought it was so strange that everything suddenly hit you. Why it hit you when it did and not sooner or later. But Sidon's voice interrupted your thoughts.
"Does Link know your here?"
"No, I escaped the castle just so I could come figure out this mystery. But I guess I got my goal completed."
"I guess so. So you just left? Like nobody knows you're gone?"
"Yeah, pretty much."
"Oohhhhh, you're gonna be in troubllllle." Sidon teased. You playfully hit his arm and you both laughed.
"He's not gonna care as long as he knows I got my memory back." You shrugged.
"What was your plan before then though?"
"I didn't really have one. I figured he couldn't blame me for anything since I was confused."
"Fair enough."
