"Don't be so reckless. I know you 'can't help it' and all but-"

"No, Sidon. I didn't say I couldn't help it, I just choose not to. I mean, a warrior's gotta be a bit reckless at times ya know?" You gave Sidon a smile and he sighed, reluctantly giving one back.

Scarlett's POV

"Mom! Sidon!" I called out for my mother and uncle, but they were no where. My cousins were all having breakfast with Dorephan - well, all of them except Zuko. He had come down with a fever in the morning so I just brought him breakfast in bed and let him sleep.

I continued walking through the domain, having had checked their rooms and other places they would normally be. Until I heard a familiar laigh down the hall.

"Mom?" I poked my head through the doorway to the study my mother had next to East Reservoir Lake. Sidon really had been treating us as royalty, and Link, Zelda and _____ did that too. No wonder, we're related to multiple royal families.

"And so, she leaped off the rock and- Oh! Scarlett darling, come in!" My mother was sitting on the couch with Sidon, and Zippora was in between them.

"Zippora, I swear you were just with Dorephan! You're fast!" I laughed, walking in and grabbing a seat at my mother's desk and moving it closer to the couch before sitting down.

"I guess I am." She giggled, looking at her claws and then up at her father.

"Whatcha guys doing anyways?" I asked, pushing my light hair off my shoulder and looking between the three and their smiles.

"We were just telling Zippora some stories about _____. And actually, didn't you have a few?" Sidon began pointing out a couple occasions when I was out with her, and it brought back a few memories.

"Be careful, Scarlett!" _____ called to me from below, watching me climb the steep hill leading to the location of a lynel.

"I will, I promise!" I comtinued to climb, and her voice couldn't be heard again. Once I got to the top within a minute or two, I went straight to the lynel and started the fight.

Little did I know, I wasn't ready.

The lynel ran towards me, bringing the sword swing into motion already. I was too early with my dodge and cried out as I felt the blade cut through the skin on my right leg.

"BACK OFF OF MY NIECE!" I could hear her shout, and all of a sudden I was on the ground, hearing the growl coming from the beast as my aunt's sword pierced it's stomach. I barely had time to blink and the foe was defeated.

"Scarlett!" She gasped, running to me and examining the wound on my leg. Fortunately, it wasn't too serious. "Alright, we're going to get you back to the domain. You're going to be okay."

And in our luck, two zora soldiers were already nearby, and they got us home safe.

"Link's right," I started as we got home. "You're a hero."

"Link said that?" She asked, putting her hands on her hips as a grin appeared on her face.

"Yeah, he's said it a few times actually." I looked down at the nurse who was carefully bandaging my leg up, and then back at _____ who's smile was now pretty wide.

"Well. I wish he were here so I could say it right back to him." She laughed a bit, but then realized again the mess we were in. "Well, I better go let Sidon know were back. I'll be back kiddo!" She waved and left to find Sidon, and I just laid there replaying the event in my head over and over again.

"That was actually the last day alone we spent together before she left. Maybe a week before." I looked to Sidon, who's smile never faded through the enitre story. My mother, who was happy to hear more about her sister who she wanted to see again so bad. And Zippora, who looked so proud to be the daughter of this incredible woman.

"She sounds awesome! I can't wait to meet her!" Zippora inhaled deep and slowly exhaled, now seeming to wonder about every scenario of meeting her mother. Sidon and I exchanged slight looks of worry if maybe she didn't come back.

No.

That's not possible. She will survive. She will beat Ganon. She will meet all of her children. She will soon be with her husband again.

"I might have already asked this but, what did she leave for? And where is she now?" My mother and I were quick to glance up at Sidon, who was already ready to explain.

"Well Zippora, you're mother left because Ganon - the creation of a greater evil that has been trying to destroy Hyrule for millenia - attacked again. Bringing in some shapeshift ability to make things worse." Sidon paused, zoning out slightly.

"And being the hero she is, she ran out to fight when you were just a toddler. You're younger siblings were only a couple months old. For nine long years, she hasn't returned, probably fighting alone and in distress." I noticed Sidon was almost breaking down.

"S-She's probably crying out my name right now! What a great husband I am, not even there for her when she-"

"Sidon!"

"It's not fair!" Sidon slammed his hand against the desk, catching everybody off guard and forcing a tense feeling throughout the room.

Silence

"D-Dad?" Zippora asked, trembling and eyes now glassy. I moved to where Sidon was originally sitting and wrapped my arms around her, allowing her to release her breath.

"Sidon, you shouldn't be lashing out life that. Your scaring Zippora. And even myself, to be honest with you." I held my gaze on him, watching him as he fixed his posture and looked over to us.

"I'm sorry, Scarlett. It's just hard. Not knowing if your own wife is dead or alive. If she's suffering or safe. And actually..." He took a deep breath and made sure all three of us were listening. "If she doesn't return by the end of this week, I'm going to look for her myself."

"Sidon, that's-"

"Chrystal, I will do what I must to get her home and safe. I love her, and I would die myself if I knew she was safe and with the rest of you." Sidon looked down and shook his head. Someone who seemed to be happy all the time when I knew him - is now always angry and upset.

"You guys were talking about me?" Zuko asked, standing in ths doorway with his hands behind his back.

"I swear the name Zuko wasn't said once, dear, but we were actually just talking about your mother." Chrystal leaned her head on her fist and Zuko shook his head.

"Zuko? The name's Ganon. And boy, I am so good at this game. Nine whole years I managed to fool you all." Zuko laughed, letting the evil start to show. The shapeshifting power... that means...

...Ganon's been right here the entire time...
