Perfectly Imperfect (Sidon X Reader)

Chapter 9: Revealing

Today, Zelda was holding a party at the castle to celebrate Link having defeated all of the monsters across Hyrule, since the blood moons suddenly stopped. Sidon, Teba, Riju, Yunobo and you were all there early to help set up.

"And... there! I think that should be it." Sidon nodded as he put up the last banner.

"Well, then I'll go get Link." You then hurried off to find Link.

"_____!" Izuko exclaimed as you walked through the hall.

"Hey Izuko! Just coming up to tell Link that were all ready." You knocked on Link's door. No answer. "Link? We're ready." You opened his door, and he wasn't in there.

You went downstairs to the basement and looked around. Nothing. You were about to head back up until you heard that familiar laugh that belonged to none other than your brother. You opened the door to your forge, and there was Link and Zelda. You were about to casually walk in, until Link went in to kiss her. You reacted with panic, because it was so sudden.

"LINK! ZELDA!" They both jumped up and looked at you walking in the doorway.

"Oh um... hey sis?" Link stammered over his words as he led Zelda out.

"You two are a couple?!"

"Yes. Sorry you had to find out like this but..."

"I mean, this is a great thing! But why are you in my forge?"

"Well, it was dim, and quiet down here and we thought it would take you guys a bit longer to decorate."

"Well we're done, so come on."

You led them back up and Sidon noticed you looked a bit confused.

"Hey, _____, are you okay?"

"You'll see."

Everyone arrived, but you noticed Princess Ryuu wasn't there. You went to look for Sidon, but you couldn't find him.

"Oh no! What if... what if he and Ryuu are in the forge now too!?" You heard the king's laughter behind you and you whirled around startled.

"Oh, _____. Ryuu left a few days ago. Back to her kingdom. You don't have to worry." King Dorephan waved his hand as if it meant nothing.

"I-I wasn't worried. I was just wondering, that's all."

"Sidon's talking to Link, over there by the fountain. But I get the feeling someone's jealous."

"What?!"

"Listen, _____, I know. You've been acting like this for some time now, I saw how you were with Ryuu. I heard Kyri talking to Sidon. It's quite obvious."

"I didn't know it was that obvious. Well, I'm gonna go find Zelda. I'll be back Dorephan." You rushed over to find Zelda and you took her to the forge.

"_____, if this is about Link and I, we're gonna announce it in a few minutes."

"No, this is about Sidon and I!"

"What about you and Sidon?"

"I have feelings for him and apparently it was obvious enough for Dorephan to notice."

"Really? Wow. This is a twist."

"I don't know what to do now! It's out there!"

"Telling me won't make it better."

"I know, but still... I can't even bring myself to say it. At all."

"You'll be able to eventually. Don't wait too long, or he'll wind up with Ryuu."

"I'm not even worried about that right now. I'm nore concerned that he'll think less of me. I can't ruin this. He's my best friend."

"I know. But Link was a friend of mine and we wound up together."

"True."

"Come on. Let's just go enjoy the party. We'll talk about this later."

Zelda led you out of the room, and went to find Link. You talked with Kyri for a bit, but then she went to grab a drink, leaving you alone for a few minutes, sitting by one of the fountains.

"_____?" You looked up and saw Sidon walking towards you.

"Hey Sidon."

"I came to talk to you. My father and I were talking, and he said that -"

"Okay, before you ask, yes Sidon, I have feelings for you. Dorephan and I spoke earlier, and he said it was really obvious. I just didn't think he would tell you."

Sidon's eyes widened. You suddenly felt extremely anxious.

"That's... n-not what my father told me. What he told me was that we needed you to be at the domain this week so we can work on the new sword design."
