Once you all got home, you and Sidon put the twins to bed (which didn't take long since they had already fallen asleep on the way home) and then went to your own room.
"Just a couple more weeks." You sighed, laying down on the bed and putting both hands on your stomach. Sidon laid down next to you and kissed your cheek.
"Just a couple more weeks, and then we have two more babies. And then we can try for anothe-"
"No!" You jolted up and Sidon laughed.
"I was kidding, dear. Four is a lot." He pulled you close to him and you nuzzled your face into his neck. "But what then? What happens after their born?"
"We enjoy life as it is since it'll be perfect. As long as these two are both healthy." Sidon nodded and sat up, moving you to his lap.
"Right. But then we'll have to wait like 18 years for these kids to grow up. What in between? What are we gonna do, nothing?"
"Exactly. We won't have to worry about a thing." You leaned back on to his chest, and he wrapped both arms around you.
"But..." He pouted as you put both hands on his.
"But what?" You looked up at him, his expression a bit sad. "You're gonna miss having kids? Oh yeah, you aren't the one who has to carry them for nine months."
"_____, it's not just that. I enjoy watching them grow up, and soon their all gonna be teenagers. And that includes our niece and nephew."
"Scarlett's already a teenager. And it's still fun to watch her get older." You looked back at the wall in front of you, and you could hear Sidon sigh deeply.
"I know, but then once their all grown up then what? They'll all have kids, and we may just barely be part of their lives." You turned yourself around completely and cupped his cheeks in your hands, and his arms were both now wrapped around your waist.
"Why don't we just worry about now? The longer we feel bad about what'll happen in the future, we'll waste all of the time we have now." He smiled and put his hand on your cheek, his other never leaving your back.
"True. I'm sorry. I know their still young, but it's hard not to wonder sometimes what'll happen in the future." He slowly leaned in, and his warm lips met with yours. You deepend the kiss, and the hand Sidon had on your back moved to your stomach.
"Wait a minute." Sidon said as you broke the kiss by almost jolting away. "Was that a kick?"
"Yeah, they actually rarely kick. Zuko and Zippora were a totally different case." You both chuckled and Sidon put his hand back where it was. A few seconds passed, and it happened again.
"Does it hurt you?" Sidon asked, putting his other hand on the other side.
"Not really, but when they do it randomly it startles me." Sidon smiled and kissed your forehead before pulling you into a hug.
"Well, atleast maybe these two won't be restless like our first two." You both laughed a bit and Sidon laid down with you on his chest. You relaxed to the feeling of his chest rising and falling with each breath. "We should get some sleep anyways," He said after a few moments. "You seem exhausted."
He didn't get a response. "_____?" He managed to see your face, eyes closed and breathing light. "Oh." He smiled and just relaxed until he fell asleep too. A night that would become unforgettable for various reasons.
