Sidon's POV

I woke up in my room. It was seemingly bright outside, and I came to realize I had gotten my memory back. Thank Hylia...

I left my room and went outside to where my family was. They had all already gotten up and were eating, so I went to join them.

"Sidon! There you are!" Chrystal smiled and gestured to the seat in between her and Zippora. "Please, have a seat."

"Dad!" Zippora hugged me, and I placed a hand on her head.

"You have your memories back?" Bazz asked before taking a bite of chillfin trout.

"Yes, I do. I don't know why we all lost them but now that we're back to normal, we can just enjoy being a family again. Now, where's _____?" I took a sip of my water and looked around the table, waiting for an answer. The expression on Bazz's face was blank, and Chrystal looked to Scarlett.

"She isn't here yet, your highness." Bazz coughed, looking down at his hands.

"Where could they be?! Should we go look for them?" I suggested some things, all of which seemed to concern Bazz as well as the rest of the guard.

"It's too risky. Hyrule Castle is still destroyed, and we can't be sure of what's in those ruins." He stirred his drink with a spoon and I sighed.

"Fine." I looked down at my food, knowing I was hungry but feeling to upset to eat. "Hopefully she returns soon..."

"We all want to see them again. And we'll do what we must if worse comes to worse." Chrystal clenched her fist and stared at the necklace in the center of the table. One I didn't even notice. She knew what I was thinking.

"I... think I need some time alone." I stood up, grabbing the necklace and pushing my chair back before I made my way back to my bedroom.

I closed my door and looked over to my wife's desk. I opened the top drawer on the right- one I had never been in before- and was going to place it in there, but then I saw a journal titled "_____'s"

I slowly and careful lifted it out, having placed the necklace above the drawer. I opened the inside to see she had written something there. I looked a bit closer.

"Don't touch this"

"Unless your name is Sidon"

The second one was in a different color and looked newer, and she also drew a smiley face next to my name, and I was questioning opening it or not. She did say I could, but it was her journal. I just opened the first page, and she had an entry there.

'I'm starting this journal since Zelda and I agreed to do this to keep our progress. Link and the other champions agreed to do this as well.'

So this was before the Great Calamity.

'Link and I went to Zora's domain today to see Mipha, and Chrystal tagged along later. Mipha was happy to see us, and Sidon was being his shy, sweet self. He also showed us his new diving move he was taught by his older sister, and he's getting so much better from the last time I saw him. He's a quick learner.'

Aw, the first bit of her entry was about me. How sweet.

'Link told us to stay at the domain while he and Mipha went off to 'train', but personally I believe it was a date. Neither of them hide their feelings very well, so I wondered why they weren't already planning a wedding. I hope I have that kind of love one day.'

'Even while I love the idea of Link and Mipha, I can see the bit of jealousy building up in Zelda. She's told me of her feelings for my brother, but she already knows he loves Mipha. I wonder how he feels. Always has girls drooling over him. I suppose being the hero came with more of a challenge than he thought. But in all honesty, I hope he and Mipha can finally find a way to express their feelings. She even made the armor for him and showed it to me today. It's perfect.'

I smiled, wondering a bit how things would have turned out had the Calamity not attacked then. But then a yawn managed to pry through my lips, and I didn't know how I was already tired again after just barely waking up. I went to close the book, but then when I picked it up, the fan next to me blew me to the last page. So I took a quick peak at it.

'I wish I didn't have to leave. Everything could be at risk, but I don't have a choice. With Link and Zelda trapped and a family at stake, I have to be the hero. My children and niece and nephew, my siblings and in laws. And especially my husband. Sidon, if you're reading this, I love you no matter what happens. I always will.'

That last bit made me tear up so I closed the book and set it down, not even in the drawer. And then I laid down, and let myself fall asleep for a while. But then something- or rather someone, woke me up. I felt a soft touch to my cheek and heard a soft voice. I opened my eyes slowly.

"Hey Sidon... did you have a nice nap?"
