Second ficlet for the day!

Da Eun thrived in the sun.

Jeong Hyeok thought it was funny how much she loved it. So they made sure to get out and grew in sunlight every time they had the chance despite their busy schedule. He thought of that moment fondly now as he watched Da Eun toddled towards Se Ri.

Rieter Park is always beautiful in the summer, and Jeong Hyeok always loved that spot, even long before he met Se Ri. He packed a picnic while Da Eun watched Bubble Guppies, bundled toddler, and all required accouterments into her stroller and headed for the park with a quick message to his wife telling her to join them for lunch.

"Mama!"

"Butterflake!" There was so much emotion in Se Ri's face, the way she scooped their daughter up was the most beautiful desperation of a mother separated from her child longer than she'd like.

"Hello, Wife." He murmured when he was close enough, ghosting a hand down her spine. She was already changed, in light skinny jeans that showcase her long legs and a white t-shirt that wrinkled and flew over the curves of her body. Modeling agencies missed out on this woman. Not that he was complaining. He liked her much better as his wife than he ever would.

"Hey." She replied easily, loud enough to be heard over Da Eun's chatter. But their daughter wouldn't be ignored, her little chubby palms pressing against Se Ri's cheeks to take her mother's attention. Se Ri went willingly, wrapped her long slender fingers around Da Eun's wrist to kiss her daughter's palm. Da Eun bounced in her arms, almost out of her arms and Jeong Hyeok scooped in to pick her up before Se Ri could lose her balance.

Da Eun squealed in laughter as Jeong Hyeok tossed her into the air, her little hand gripped his t-shirt when he caught her and propped her against hip. One hand went immediately to her mouth and he heard Se Ri laughed as the tugged it out.

"Hungry, Butterflake?"

And as much as Da Eun asked for food when she was hungry, her chubby hands made a grasping gesture before she lay her head on Jeong Hyeok's shoulder. Se Ri's face was soft, the face that she wished she had even a sliver talent to capture these moments.

"Come on, Mama." He said, shuffling towards the picnic blanket. "Let's eat."

They did, Da Eun making an absolute mess of her cheese cubes and Ritz crackers, tossing a few grapes into the grass before either of her parents could stop her. But entertained toddler means quality times with his wife. So Jeong Hyeok was happy to let his daughter waste a few grapes for that. Most especially when he could sit shoulder-to-shoulder with Se Ri against one of Rieter Park's massive trees.

"I took the afternoon off." She murmured, reaching to pick a leaf out of Da Eun's hair.

"Oh?" he knew better than to tease her about it. Sure, Da Eun changed a lot of things, but Se Ri was still, at her core, a workaholic.

She let her head drop to his shoulder for a moment and he couldn't help but look down at her. She looked tired, he realized, got his arm around her shoulders.

"Yep."

She didn't offer anymore and he didn't ask, just reached for Da Eun when she tried to balance on uneven blanket and ground. Se Ri opened her arms easily for their daughter, let her curl up in her mother's lap.

"She is getting so big." She murmured, tipped her body so it curled just a little bit more into his. Part of him twitched to clean up the picnic, to tucked all the food back where it can be kept cool, but the bigger part of him wanted to stay here for a moment, with his family.

And it's obvious Se Ri was feeling it too, the need to grasp these moments with all of them. He wasn't sure if it's because she's had a day where nothing seems to go right or id she'd just looked out of the window and decided summer with her family was more important than the work in front of her. He didn't care, either way, to be honest. He reached her out, curled into him a little bit tighter. Da Eun's eyes slowly fluttered and her babblings slow to little murmurs. Her little is nestled in the curve between their bodies and Jeong Hyeok couldn't help stroking his hand over her head.

"Ri Jeong Hyeok-ssi?"

He only hummed in response.

"I went to the doctor today."

He looked up from their daughter's face, facing his wife.

"Are you sick? Why didn't you tell me?" he asked worriedly.

"I am pregnant, Honey."

He was speechless, staring at her for a moment as if he did not truly register what she had just said. A moment went by, then two. "What did you just say? Pregnant? A Baby? We are going to have another baby?"

She was genuinely afraid he was going to hyperventilate. He seemed excited but scared at the same time.

She smiled and nodded at him.

He moved to embrace her. "I am so happy, thank you Yoon Se Ri."

"Well, it takes two to tango."

"Da Eun-ah, did you hear that? You are going to be a big sister! There is a baby in Mama's belly." He explained it carefully to their beloved firstborn.

"Baby?" Da Eun asked curiously.

"Yes. Like Lea's baby brother. Baby Levi."

Se Ri pulled her daughter into a sitting position, wanting to be as closer as possible to her husband when she gave the rest of the news. "Ri Jeong Hyeok-ssi, there is something else I need to tell you." As the words left her lips, he looked at her warily. "It seems that we're having twins."

Jeong Hyeok almost collapsed into the chair. At first, Se Ri thought he had passed out, but when he immediately leaned forward, she realized that he had just not been able to continue to lift his head. He just started shaking his head back and forth, tears welling in his eyes. He jumped from the couch and softly pressed his lips into hers.

He wanted to cling to them, the happiness, the contentment, everything they had anticipated since their drunken confession in Seoul.

It blindsided him sometimes, how much he loves them both, well four of them, the depth of what he felt. She tilted her head a little, let him kissed her in the middle of Rieter Park, over the daughter, and with the remains of their picnic spread in front of them.

So how are we all doing after receiving so many Binjin Baeksang contents? I may write another Binjin one-shot. I enjoyed writing 'Breathe' very much haha. So, something smut? Or something fluff? Is anyone interested?

You can send me your idea too. It helps me a lot, actually.
