One last smut before they hit that 6 weeks dry spell 😂

Yoon Se Ri sat in the comfortable rocker in the nursery, rocking while smoothing her hand over her round baby bump. "You don't have to do that, Eommonim."

"I know, but I need to do something to keep me busy while we wait," her mother in law said with a smile. She was busy folding a pile of freshly washed onesies.

At 38 weeks, Se Ri was grateful for all the help she could get since the ability to move about freely had become an issue. Ri Jeong Hyeok's mother had arrived the previous week to await the birth of her first grandchild and it had been a huge relief since Se Ri's mother still have to deal with her company from time to time while she was in maternity leave. Kim Yun Hui had taken charge immediately, marshaling friends and family to finalize baby-fying the house. Tiny clothes were washed and put away. Piles of stuffed animals were put on display. The nursery had been fully stocked with everything a baby could possibly need and then some.

"Another two weeks." She sighed wearily. The baby hadn't been letting her sleep much lately and it was really starting to wear on her. And after that false alarm, Yoon Se Ri's anxiousness doubled themselves. "Are babies always so active?"

Kim Yun Hui stopped and smiled. "No, not all babies. Jeong Hyeok was rather quiet. Sometimes I have to push at him to wake him to make sure he was okay."

"Really?" Se Ri found that really interesting since her Butterflake could hardly be still an hour.

"Oh yes," her mother in law reminisced. "he wasn't all that interested in coming out either. 5 days late he was!"

She swallowed hard. "That's what I am afraid of, Butterflake not wanting to come out. I don't want induction or c-section. But I don't think I can do this anymore. She keeps kicking me in the ribs, and she thinks my bladder is her personal soccer ball, Eommonim."

Kim Yun Hui chuckled and caressing her cheek. "Then don't worry about that, Se Ri-ya. She'll be here soon."

Yoon Se Ri could feel the color drain from her face. "Why would you say that, Eommonim?"

"That means Butterflake was raring to make a break because she was never happy at being in a confined space."

Se Ri laughed "I bet she does." She feeling a bit relieved that she could have this sort of conversation with her mother in law. From the first time they met, Se Ri knew that they would connect immediately. She always knew what to say. "How long do you think we'll have to wait for this one?"

"Hmmm," Kim Yun Hui pondered a moment, lips pursed, "not more than a week I'd guess."

It was almost like the air had been sucked out of the room. Se Ris gasped, "Oh God."

"Don't worry, sweetheart. Everything will be alright. You are more ready for her than you think." Kim Yun Hui assured her daughter in law.

"I am scared, though. I feel like everything can go wrong the moment we go to the hospital."

"Everything is going to be just fine. Now, let's elevate your feet. Jeong Hyeok said you need to move around a little bit during the day." Kim Yun Hui offered her hands to Se Ri, helping her to stand up.

"He can be a control freak sometimes. Eommonim, can't we just stay on the couch downstairs while watching TV? I'll pick a good movie."

Kim Yun Hui smiled. "Of course. After you elevate your feet."

Se Ri pouted.

"You said you wanted the baby out immediately."

"Right."
