In our generation, are you okay, is one the hardest question to answer. You can always say no but today's generation can't afford the humiliation of being called weak. If you're not okay and you feel like crying then cry.
What's so wrong about crying? You are strong if you cried, that only means you're embracing the pain and accepting what happened.
Saying you're okay on the other hand is okay too, for those people who isn't fond of being controlled by their emotions. And that is their way to be strong.
Really, we don't need to say someone's weak because of crying and someone's strong because they're not crying. We have different ways on how to cope up, on how to survive.
"I'm not okay," I answered. Why am I talking to this guy again?
"Are you embarass to cry in front of me?" Tinitigan pa niya ako at mukhang sinusuri.
"I'm not, I'll cry if I can't handle it anymore. As of now numbness is all I can feel," ironic.
"I can listen, I can give you advices too," he said while clicking.
He's now taking a picture, the view looked amazingly perfect even if the sun is no longer there. I too, can be like that, right? Be okay even if he's not here.
"Why do people make promises before leaving?" I asked while looking at the sea. Through my peripheral vision, I saw him looked at me. He stopped clicking for a moment.
"So they could come back anytime they want without having to explain why they left,"
"Have you ever made a promise to someone?" Walang buhay kong tanong.
"No, I don't actually believe in promises," Sure, a guy like him is not into that kind of thing. I nodded.
"You're incoming college student, right?" I just nod.
"And you're like this? Mukha ka nang 3rd year college sa itsura mo. You looked like Squidward," He laughed but stop then laugh again this time he's laughing real hard! This guy!
"Squidward! Are you serious?!" He's still not done laughing. I glared at him.
"Oh the angry Squidward look!"
What the hell? Natawa ako pero pinigilan ko. I'm not like him 'no! Para siyang si SpongeBob tumawa!
"Wala!— I... I mean, mayroon!" Humagalpak ako ng tawa at least not the SpongeBob laugh okay! Unlike him!
"Why are you smiling?!" I admit, he has this killer smile. His super white teeth and those sparkling eyes! Normal ba 'yong pagiging mukhang naiiyak na mata niya?
"Glad I made you smile and laugh though," he said looking at me, ba't ba ganyan siya makatingin!
I hope you never let anyone take that away from you. Your smile, I mean," Ngumiti siya, ang gaan sa pakiramdam na ng mga ngiti niya.
I turn around and walk away bago pa ako makagawa ng kalokohan.
Not used to crowds, perks of being home girl I guess.
"He's always like that what's new? The stone hearted Thyzer! Hindi pa ba kayo sanay doon?"
"Sanay na 'no! Iba kasi 'yong ngayon," A guy wearing a gray shirt said to a guy wearing a brown shirt. They're all good looking, tatlo silang lalaki na nasalubong ko. The one wearing gray shirt looked jolly and friendly, sobrang puti rin at mukhang may lahi. The other one's wearing a black sweatshirt, tahimik lang siya mukha silang masungit noong lalaking naka-brown shirt.
