Part 2 Black Cat Marinette

Marinette flung herself onto her bed and sobbed. Adrien is Chat Noir. Adrien is Chat Noir. ADRIEN IS CHAT NOIR AND I HAVE TO SEE HIM TOMORROW AT SCHOOL! Marinette's mind swirled. Why couldn't it be Kim, or Max, or Nathaniel? She could even put up with Luka! The worst part was, it all made sense. Adrien was never there when there was an Akuma, and he had never been akumatized himself. Marinette cried harder. He saw Tikki, she was sure of it. The way all the color drained from his face, the way his lips moved to form the word Ladybug. Sure, he had a crush on her, but surely it had disappeared when he realized what a clumsy and stupid partner he had! Marinette went to bed, having twisted dreams of Chat and Adrien, Adrien and Chat. How many ways could he reject her, or even humiliate her tomorrow? In the morning, she wore her lucky pink jeans (when she wore them, falls hurt less,) her white tee, and her gray jacket. She wore her hair in her usual pigtails and left for school. At the door she saw Adrien and Nino. Adrien was listening to Nino talk about his new DJ set, but his mind was obviously elsewhere. Marinette tried to tiptoe up the steps, but ran into the worst two people ever: Chloe Bourgeois and Lila Rossi. Lila's tone automatically went sugar-sweet and she embraced Marinette, the latter gently pushing her off. Chloe, on the other hand, was not as sweet "Watch where you're going, DUPAIN-CHENG!" All the color drained out of Marinette's face. Her name seemed to roll from Chloe's mouth across the whole school yard. And of course, Adrien turned to the sound of her name. Marinette made the sound a goose makes when it's choking and ran. She managed to avoid the blonde model all day. She had taken her first deep breath all day and started to walk out of the door when a hand caught her wrist. Adrien spun her around "Wait!" he blushed and smiled at her "Sorry about that, it's just that I wouldn't have been able to talk to you otherwise." Marinette just nodded. He continued "I'm sorry. I guess you really do hate me. I'm sorry for not being who you wanted." he began to leave, but Marinette found her voice "No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being who you wanted me to be. I'm not witty. I'm not fast, or graceful, or pretty. I'm sorry Adrien." People began to stare, intrigued by Marinette's lack of stuttering. Adrien held her hand. Marinette's breathing quickened. He whispered "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you are perfect." Then Adrien Agreste kissed her. Marinette's mind went blank. After they broke away, Marinette saw the commotion they had caused. Ivan, Mylen, Nino, Rose, and Juleka were cheering. Alya was recording and Kim was giving Alix five bucks (bet money, probably.) The color of Nathaniel's face could rival that of his hair, and Sabrina was the same. Chloe was passed out cold, and Max was helping her up. And for once, Lila's sweet and calm demeanor had left her "Dupain-Cheng!" The Italian girl marched over "You can not just march in here, act weird all day, and then STEAL MY BOYFRIEND!" She was red faced and her hair was sticking up all over, quite comically. Adrien simply laughed at her "Hate to break it to you, but you're not my girlfriend." Lila still didn't back down "Well then who is?" she demanded. Before Adrien could answer, a groggy Chloe raised her hand, then shoved past Max to get to the front of the room. She rested her arm on Adrien's shoulder, Adrien being too nice to push it off. She addressed the whole crowd, including Aurora Beauréal, who had come to see what the commotion was. "In case any of you girls were wondering if there was even the slightest chance of you getting my Adrikins, you were severely wrong." Adrien stepped away from the obnoxious Blonde "Actually, I don't have a girlfriend. Well, Not yet." he smiled mischievously and gave Marinette a look that was 100% Chat Noir "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you are amazing, sweet, pretty, and our own personal Ladybug. Marinette, will you be my girlfriend?" Marinette hadn't even registered the question. Then she looked at the dumbstruck faces of Chloe and Lila "Yes!" Chloe immediately marched out of the room, Sabrina following, shouting "RIDICULOUS. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!" Lila made some empty threats about how she was going to tell Prince Ali before she, too, stormed out. Adrien and Marinette walked out of the school, hand in hand, knowing that, for once, their bad luck was gone.
