Part 18 Liar Liar (Lila POV)

Lila walked down the stairs. She had made quite the first impression, although she regretted not being able to fully spoil the evening. She was plotting out her next victim when she bumped into Marinette. Ah, the perfect victim. She was about to make a big fuss about the bump when something caught her eye. Marinette was wearing a ring. It was an engagement ring! Lila decided to ask "Wow, Marinette, that's such a pretty ring! Where did you get it?" Marinette looked caged "It- it was a gift" she stuttered. Lila hadn't heard Marinette stutter since she and Adrien started dating. Lila inquired further "From who?" Marinette didn't want to reveal that Chat had given it to her, and saying it was from Adrien would anger her further "From a friend" she pushed past Lila and walked away. Lila smiled. How interesting.... She ran over to Adrien "Hey, Adrien..." he turned, keeping a calm face despite their history. Lila sighed "I'm sorry to say.... I think Marinette is cheating on you" Adrien's face dropped "That- that can't be true!" Lila nodded sadly "Yeah. She was talking to Luka about a date, and denied it when I asked her. She also said that she didn't want to date you anymore." Adrien shook his head "That can't be true! Y- you're lying!" Lila pouted "I'm so sorry you had to hear this from me." She began sliding her arm around his shoulders, slowly manipulating him into believing her lies "Even a few minutes ago, she was wearing this ring and didn't want to tell where she got it. She said it was from a friend, but it was an engagement ring! You got to question that!" Adrien knit his eyebrows "An engagement ring.... Oh!" Lila frowned "What? Your girlfriend is cheating on you, what's so good about that?!" Adrien laughed and pushed Lila away gently "I know where she got the ring, she's not cheating on me!" Lila frowned, obviously displeased with herself. She marched off in a huff. Adrien grinned. Marinette joined him "What's so funny?" Adrien giggled as he retold the events. Marinette smirked "You're such a dork!" Lila walked past "Hey, that's not very nice! Why would you say something like that, Marinette?" Adrien frowned "Lila, you misinterpreted. I'm her dork" Lila rolled her eyes and waltzed off. Adrien and Marinette followed her to the courtyard. They had something to do, so they went home. After transforming they went over to the recording studio. Nadja Chamack had asked them for an interview about their wedding and what happened there. The two sat on the sofa across from Nadja as she asked the newly wedded pair some questions. They talked about Darkfly, her powers, and Ladybug warned Paris about negative emotions. Luka even came onto the interview and talked about Darkfly and the day she captured him wearing the hoodie. After the interview they walked (or yo yoed) from the building. Chat smiled at Ladybug "So, M'lady, have anything going on tonight?" Ladybug shook her head "No, why?" Chat grinned "I'll pick you up at seven, then?" Ladybug was confused. She was hoping to get to bed early, but she was intrigued. When she got home she changed from her school outfit and took out her hair. At seven she heard a noise on her balcony. She walked up the stairs to greet Chat.
