Part 12 The girl in the hoodie (Luka/Kagami)

Luka was feeling good. He got a date to the dance, came up with a song for her on the guitar, and got to her house early. Since he was early he leaned against the wall and started plucking out a tune. There was no one else there except for some girl wearing a black hoodie, the hood pulled low over her eyes. Luka checked his watch. Time to pick up Kagami. He reached out to ring the doorbell when a hand lashed out and grabbed his arm. It was the hoodie girl. She jumped up to one of the roofs, dropping Luka on the ground. He scrambled to his feet "Who are you?" the girl tilted her head "Not important. What are you doing here?" Luka looked at the ground, roughly twenty feet down. This girl was a superhero- or villain- otherwise she would've never been able to jump that high. Luka gulped "I'm going to pick up my girlfriend, you know, for the dance." Hoodie girl pouted "Aw, that's too bad. You're going to have to come with me." Luka opened his mouth to protest, but then he noticed the hoodie girl's pin. It was a butterfly pin, made of amethyst. Luka's face went white "oh god..." The Hoodie girl smiled "Oh yes, I'm going to have fun tonight. But not Kagami. I have a special plan for her" Lila smiled despite herself. Dark butterfly was here, and there was no going back.

Kagami had been waiting for Luka for half an hour. After trying to call and text she went to the bridge. No one was there, she was too late. Kagami slumped to the ground. She had been rejected by Adrien, and after that the pain was suffocating. She was sure no one else would ever love her. One day she had been in the park when Luka sat down next to her. She had met Luka before, but didn't really know him. He had liked Marinette, and was happy for her. Still, he was sad losing Marinette. Kagami and Luka became good friends, and soon started dating. Just a week before he had given her a locket with a picture of their first date inside. He had told her that he would never leave her, and asked her to go to the dance with him. She had accepted happily. Now he hasn't showed up. Was he messing with her? Had he lied about loving her? Was she really that unlovable? Then something strange happened. Kagami had been akumatized before, but this time was different. Hawk Moth didn't introduce himself. Instead, Kagami spoke first "H- hello?" A girl answered. Her voice was sweet, but it gave Kagami a sour feeling "Hi, i'm Dark butterfly. You've been hurt, healed, then hurt again. Join me and we can work together to defeat those who hurt you." Kagami didn't like the voice speaking to her. She didn't know who it was, but it was definitely associated with bad memories. Yet what other choice did she have? She could feel her willpower crumbling as they spoke. Eventually she fell to her knees "Ok, do it." And in the ruins of an old building, far away, Lila Rossi smiled at her first victory.
