Part 8 Risk (Marinette POV)

Ladybug dragged Chat Blanc down the alley. He was shouting something along the lines of "Put me down you foul, slimey- ahhhh!" she dumped him on the ground. Hard. he screeched like a little girl "Ok, now you've done it. When I get out of here I'll-" Ladybug cut him off "You'll what? Take my miraculous?" she said gloatingly "Well you can't. For today, it won't be my miraculous." Chat grinned. This conversation was amusing "And what if I tell Scarlett Moth your identity?" Ladybug shook her head, "Can't have you doing that Kitty." He saw what was coming too late. Her hand whipped out and grabbed his ring. The bell dropped off the costume and rolled across the ground, but when Ladybug tried to pick it up, it burnt her. The akuma was still powering the item. She was going to have to get the akuma away from Chat Blanc if she wanted to get it. Adrien was sitting on the ground next to it. He looked very confused "What happened? And WHERE IS MY RING OH GOD IF I LOST IT I'M SO DEAD" Ladybug laughed "It's fine, I have it here." Adrien was even more confused "Why? Oh wait, lemme guess, I was akumatized." He sighed. Ladybug nodded "But I have a plan. You can't use your miraculous because it has an akuma, but someone else can! So...." Adrien blanked "You're going to give our miraculouses to those girls, aren't you?" Ladybug nodded. Adrien rubbed his forehead like he was getting a migraine. "Oh god. You better know what you're doing" Ladybug nodded and took off her earrings. After putting them in their boxes she found Rena and told her who to give them to. Honeybee and Ruby were tag-teaming The Pharaoh. After he turned back into Jalil, Rena Rouge ran over to them "Here, take these. Take off your current miraculouses first." she ran off without further explanation. Ruby and Honeybee looked at each other, then went to Ruby's house. When they got there they opened the boxes. A tiny cat and a big bug floated out of them. The bug started "Hi, I'm Tikki, and this is-" The cat interrupted her "CAMEMBERT!! GIMME MY CHEESE!" Tikki sighed "This is Plagg the kwami of destruction and stinky cheese. Anyways, Ladybug needs your help. Use the miraculous to defeat Hawk Moth. His cane let's him make scarlett akumas. Break it and you win, got it?" Jade nodded, but Ria looked uncertain. She took the box but didn't put the ring on "If there was an akuma here, then wouldn't I be akumatized?" Tikki shook her head "You weren't wearing the ring when it was akumatized. You should be fine." Ria nodded "well.... Plagg, Claws out!" a burst of green electricity filled the room. Ria was wearing a black jacket with a bright green zipper. Her pockets, half of her sleeves, and her earrings (which came with the outfit by the way) were all green, a bright contrast to the black boots, jacket, and leggings. The earrings were small bells, and black ears were on her head. Jade smiled "you look awesome!" She put in the earrings "oh, and Ria, what's your superhero name?" Ria thought about it "What about Minou Nuit?" Jade grinned "Love it! by the way, I'm calling you Minnie Mouse now! Tikki, spots on!" her costume was sort of girly. Her sleeves were black, as were her leggings, but the skirt and middle of the shirt was red her hair was down, and held back by a headband. She racked her mind for a good name "What about .... Garnet Beetle!" Minou Nuit gave her a thumbs up "Except for one thing. You can't call me Minnie Mouse! I'm a cat, for heaven's sake!" Garnet shrugged and yo yoed out the window of the apartment. Minou followed. They were pretty close to the eiffel tower when they saw the assortment of villains there. Gamer, Oni Chan, Glaciator, Desperada, Mr. Pigeon, and thousands more were standing at the base of the structure. Minou Nuit was hyperventilating and Garnet's legs shook. This was not going to be easy, but then again, what would be the fun if it was?

Marinette had never hid during an akuma attack. She was so used to fighting that she never really thought about what it was like to be stuck in a fight like this. It wasn't half bad, though. Adrien was sitting next to her (they were at his house), and they had snuck into the kitchen and grabbed some marshmallows. Stuffing their mouths with sugary treats, side by side, nothing was better. Then they heard a loud crash upstairs. Adrien turned to Marinette with a panicked expression "Father! He might be in trouble!" Marinette wanted to stop him, say they were safer downstairs, but one look from those puppy dog eyes and her willpower crumbled. She kissed him on the cheek "Fine, but we need to be careful" Adrien nodded "I promise, princess." Marinette rolled her eyes, but Adrien could see that she was holding back laughter. They walked up the steps into the room with the portrait of Mrs. Agreste on it. Adrien looked at the portrait in confusion "Some of the picture is pushed inwards." He walked over and pushed in the spots. The floor where he was standing slide downwards. Marinette climbed on before it dipped down completely. They seemed to be in a type of elevator "Adrien.... Please tell me this is just an oddly placed elevator that we somehow came across." Adrien shook his head "I didn't know this was here" The platform slid up into a large room with a butterfly window. There was a man standing in the room, and the two teenagers standing in the room knew immediately that it was Hawk Moth. He stuck his arms out, unknowing of the two teens watching "Dark Wings fall!" Marinette covered her mouth with her hands in shock and horror. Adrien's face was pale, and for a moment he had to remind himself to breathe. The man that was Hawk Moth turned around, and almost fell over "Adrien..." Adrien's face went steely "Hello Father"

Minou Nuit (or Mini Nuit, as Garnet called her) and Garnet Beetle were doing pretty well. They had de-akumatized almost everybody except for Volpina, who was currently hanging from the Eiffel tower. She laughed "do you really think you can defeat me?" Garnet looked at Minou. Minou looked at Garnet. They both looked at Volpina "Yes". Volpina seethed "What?!" Garnet and Minou smiled "we are going to beat you. Your confidence is going to be your downfall" Garnet said. The girls went on the attack. Garnet called her lucky charm (a magnet), and while she tried to figure it out Minou Nuit cataclysmed the beams above her. Her ankle got trapped, but she was still protecting her necklace. Garnet suddenly knew what to do. She grabbed one of the fallen beams and used tape to tape the magnet to the beam. The magnet attracted the metal fox tail pendant and pulled it off. She de-akumatized into Lila, who thanked them sweetly "oh, I'm so sorry, I was just so scared of these akumas, next time I will stay strong!" She was lying, but Garnet just smiled back "It's fine Lila, really. Thanks for still fighting!" when the Italian girl left Minou Nuit began to laugh. Garnet had been mimicking the exact tone that Lila used when lying, and the liar herself hadn't even noticed. Garnet Beetle used the Miraculous Ladybug, and all of Paris was fixed. The two girls went back to Ria's house and de transformed, but just as Jade was leaving she got a call from Marinette. Ria took her phone out of her pocket "It's Marinette" she answered the call. Marinette was talking very fast, and seemed to be panicked. As Ria listened, her face went pale. After she hung up she ran to the refrigerator and got some cookies and cheese. She tossed the cookies to Jade "Feed your kwami. We need to retransform." Jade caught the cookies and handed one to Tikki "Wait what? Why?" Ria turned to face Jade "They figured out Hawk moth's Identity"

Adrien was enraged "All this time it was you?! You keep saying that I had to stay home so I would be safe, and really you were just protecting me from you." Gabriel was trying to explain himself "I did it for a reason, Adrien, and I didn't want to hurt you." Adrien laughed "YEAH right like you actually CARED" Gabriel looked like someone had punched him, "I did it for your mother" Adrien stopped in mid-rant "you ... WHAT?!" Gabriel straightened, knowing he had his son's attention. "With the Miraculouses of the Ladybug and Black Cat you can make one wish. I would bring her back, Adrien, we could be a family again!" Marinette cleared her throat. The quarreling father-son duo turned. Marinette was leaning against the wall, phone in hand. Her hair framed her face, which was set in a frown. Everything about her expression and posture screamed ARE YOU TWO SERIOUS!!?? As Adrien watched her walk over to them he only had one thought: I seriously love this girl. She glared at Gabriel before turning to Adrien "I called R- I mean Minou Nuit. She and Garnet are on their way" Gabriel was appalled "You called superheroes? You are his girlfriend, and you of all people should understand that I'm doing something to make it better-" Marinette cut him off "No. You are making things worse if anything. You are hurting people to get something you want that you can't have, and you are guilt-tripping your son into being your excuse. I called superheroes, but not for the reason you thought." Minou Nuit and Garnet Beetle crashed through the window. Jade knew a lot about fashion, and when she saw the famous designer instead of Paris's most feared villain, she was considerably confused. Minou Nuit, however, jumped right to the fact that Gabriel was wearing the butterfly miraculous. She used the baton to hit him in the chest. Adrien and Marinette whispered the plan to Garnet and Minou while Gabriel got off the floor. Garnet went back to Honeybee and Minou Nuit went back to Ruby. They gave the miraculouses back to their owners. Gabriel stood up "Adrien.... What are you doing?" Adrien smiled slyly "Well father, you aren't the only one with secrets. Plagg, Claws out!"
