2 truths and a lie

Part 6 Thought Clouds (Jade POV)

Jade had moved from England to Paris, so please forgive her if she didn't run immediately when the red butterflies rained down from the sky. They started landing on people left and right, and those people were consumed by red bubbly stuff. One landed on her wristband, but she just stared at it curiously. The perplexed butterfly flew off. Jade saw the same thing happening to Ria. She cupped her hands over it and brought it over. Marinette turned to them"Hold on to that. It's called an akuma and it will akumatize you if you feel any negative emotions." Then the pig-tailed girl rushed out of the room. She realized that Nino, Juleka, Alya, Adrien, Nathaniel, Chloe, and Ria were the only students left in the room. Alya, Nino, and Adrien mumbled their excuses and left, while the remaining students left to get help. Ria looked around awkwardly "So.... my place?"

Meanwhile, Marinette burst into her room. She pulled back her floorboards to reveal the miraculous box. She knew Carapace, Rena Rouge, and Chat noir would help her, but she felt like they would need some more help. She was looking through the many drawers of the box and found a small box at the bottom that she had never seen before. Inside there was a small kwami that looked like a red panda. She pocketed this and looked through the rest. She remembered her old mentor master Fu's words "Someday, you will need to find a new Queen Bee." Marinette suddenly had an idea. She grabbed the black and yellow comb, returned the box to its original place, and left the room.

Jade was watching TV with Ria when there was a tapping at the window. Ladybug was balanced on the railing outside and was holding two red and black boxes. Ria's eyes went large as she walked up to Ladybug "Is this...." she said in a shaky voice. Ladybug nodded "Ariana Roger-Baronné, This is the Miraculous of the red panda. Will you use it for the greater good?" Ria nodded so fast That Jade thought her head was going to fall off "of course Ladybug. Will I get to meet Chat Noir? And what should my name be? And-" Ladybug raised her eyebrows. Ria fastened the rose gold charm bracelet around her wrist. A small red panda floated from the charm and up to her. Ladybug's face went serious "When the mission is done, you will return the miraculous to me. Can I trust you?" Ria nodded "Of course Ladybug." Ladybug smiled and turned to Jade "Jade Couture, this is the Miraculous of the Bee. Will you use it for the greater good?" Jade looked at Ladybug, then at Ria, who gave her an enthusiastic thumbs up. She took a deep breath and took the box. A small bee bowed to her "Greetings, my queen."

Ok, so the plan had gone off track. Aurora was going to be the next queen bee, but she was already Stormy Weather and didn't seem to be in a good mood. When she dropped off Ria's Miraculous, Jade was there and the plan was back! The look of sheer terror moved to one of determination as she slid the comb into her long brown hair. Ria stepped up first "Laal, wake up!" There was a bright flash as her black jeans, gray sneakers, and blue sweater were transformed into a new suit. White gloves went up to her elbows, and her suit was a rusty orange-red. Her tail was striped white and her mask had black rimming her eyes. Last, but certainly not least, fuzzy ears on a headband. She twirled around and pulled out her weapon, a whip made out of leafy green vines. Jade nodded "lookin' good!" Ria rolled her eyes at the obnoxious comment "What ever, your turn!"

Jade was excited. She couldn't lie, This was epic. She had never wanted to move from England (although she was happy to not have to see that jerk Felix Graham de Vanily in school) She had never imagined that she would be a superhero. Ria (or Ruby, as she called herself) was bouncing on her toes in excitement. Jade smiled "Pollen, Buzz on!" Yellow sparks flashed briefly as Jade transformed. Her white shirt, green skirt, and black flats were now a mix of yellow, black, and light pink. Her tights were yellow and black striped, and her knee-length skirt had small hearts on the corner of it. Her hair was in a ponytail and her black top had yellow sleeves. She looked at herself in the mirror that leaned against the wall "nice!" she frowned suddenly "who's idea was the hearts?" Ladybug shrugged "probably pollen. She loves fashion." Jade (now Honeybee) nodded "well, are we doing this?" The three girls jumped out the window to see how the battle was going.
