Part 4 Sly Fox (Alya POV)

Alya Cesaire knew a lot about thrills. Roller coasters, diving boards, and climbing trees were some of her favorite things to do. But all of that was put to shame by being Rena Rouge. She ran by Ladybug's side, jumping and swerving chimneys. After about five minutes of running she was stopped by Ladybug "Wait, Mon Chaton messaged me." Rena leaned against the nearest chimney "Mon Chaton? Did I miss something?" Ladybug blushed an embarrassed shade of pink "What do you mean?" Rena's face lit up as she exclaimed, "You two are together! I knew it!" Ladybug blushed a bright red that could rival her red suit "Shhhhhh. No one knows yet." Rena smiled "Your secret is safe with me." The superheroine checked the message "Help.... Trap... VOLPINA!" She said it like a curse. Rena Rouge's fox ears shot up at the name of her villainous imitator. She remembered that Lila had a massive crush on Adrien, and since Marinette was dating the model, it made sense she was akumatized. Ladybug started to run in the direction the boys went in. Rena followed before a realization stopped her "Wait.... Carapace went with him. Is he okay?" Ladybug nodded before resuming her sprint. Both girls stopped by the storage unit. Volpina was waiting nearby, still using the illusion of Stormy weather to cover her being there. Ladybug looked ready to charge in and smack the girl upside the head, but Rena stopped her. She grabbed a pebble and threw it at a unit. It stayed. Not an illusion. Unfortunately, the pebble bounced off the unit and hit Volpina in the back of the head. She turned and sent a fireball straight at Ladybug's stomach. She crumpled moaning in pain. Volpina laughed, but Rena threw her flute, and it hit her right between the eyes. Rena Raised her flute and shouted "Mirage!" When Volpina tried to hit Rena Rouge, she flung a fireball straight at the storage unit. The wall crumpled and a surprised Chat and Carapace step out. Carapace looked at Rena, then at the hurt Ladybug, then at the snarling Volpina. He and Chat Noir helped Rena Rouge carry Ladybug (well, give Chat Noir Ladybug. He basically carried her the whole way.) They got a private room in the Bourgeois hotel and sat down to relax. Except there was a problem. Blocking that hit had taken a lot of Tikki's energy, and the earrings were on the second to last dot. Ladybug still wasn't feeling that good, but she managed to sit up "It's OK if you learn my identity. I chose you to be Miraculous holders because I knew I could trust you." the last dot beeped. A distinct pink flash filled the room. Alya closed her eyes for a second. This was the moment. The moment she had been waiting for since stoneheart was akumatized. Before she opened her eyes she muttered "Trixx, let's rest" The rest of the superheroes followed her. When she opened her eyes, she almost fell over. She knew these people! Nino was Carapace, she had known that for a while. But Adrien.... Adrien was Chat Noir. he must've seen her staring because he smiled and pointed to Ladybug. Ladybug was MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG! How? She had been best friends with Ladybug! Marinette was bracing herself for questions, but Alya just threw her arms around Marinette's shoulders. "I'm glad you're okay" she whispered into her best friend's ear. After making sure everyone was ok, the group of heroes (and best friends, as it turns out) transformed and got ready to fight. Volpina never stood a chance. After being hit in the head with Carapace's shield, tripped by Rena Rouge's flute, smacked by Ladybug's Yoyo, and gotten her necklace cataclysmed by Chat Noir, she was defeated. Lila threw her arms around Ladybug, gushing about how sorry she was for getting akumatized, and "Please don't blame me! It wasn't my fault!" Carapace brought Lila home and then he and Rena gave their Miraculouses to Ladybug. Surprisingly, she curled her hands around them "you keep them. It's obvious you've earned it." Alya and Nino Thanked her and went home. When Alya went to school the next day, she heard Marinette telling Alix that she hurt herself running from Volpina. Alya shook her head and sighed. Typical Marinette. She still didn't know why she disliked Lila. She was so nice to her last night, apologising about everything. Lila walked into school, apologising tearfully to everyone. Marinette had gone to the bathroom when Alya walked over. She had heard rumors about Marinette, and wanted to see who was spreading them. "So, why did you get akumatized?" Rose asked. A crafty look spread briefly across Lila's face "Well, Marinette had pushed me in the park, no one saw, but it ruined my dress!" Alya realized this wasn't true. Marinette was getting ready, and Adrien was with her in the park. Everyone was muttering in sympathy of the Italian girl, though. A rage like never before spread through Alya. Nino saw what was going to happen and ran over Alya exploded "YOU CAN'T TALK THAT WAY ABOUT MY FRIEND YOU SLIMY NO GOOD LITTLE-" she was cut short when Nino put his hand over her mouth to keep back a string of profanity. She wrenched from his grip and attempted to stare down the girl, and later even Kim said she was intimidating. She was two inches taller than Lila, her brown-gold hair framing her beet red face. Lila played the victim and pushed Alya away from her. This physical contact was all Alya needed. She tackled Lila, who dug her knee into Alya's stomach. and Miss Bustier, Miss Mendeleev, and Mr. Damocles had to work together to pull the girls off each other. Later, in the principal's office, it was determined that although Alya started verbally, Lila was the first to make physical contact. Lila was given a three week detention, while Alya only got one. Lila had been exposed, and a week later (after Alya wasn't suspended from the blog as punishment) The Ladyblog was rededicated to giving the Superheroes and Heroines time to relax. The program was called Positive, and was a competition to see how many people you could cheer up in a day. Adrien even got Chloe to sign up, and the reduction of Akuma's was massive. It seemed that it was time to call it happily ever after....
