Stranger things 4- big changes

Part 19- thunder strikes again

With the hot sunny weather in hawkins also came along the long rainy days along with thunderstorms.  It was a wednesday night around 9pm.  Max and el had grown up alot, like alot alot, but that doesn't mean they cant have fears.  I mean they both have gone through so much especially with the whole lab and thunderstorms.  Joyce had come upstairs to say goodnight but Max was on the bed with el as she was shaking.  It was the 6th storm is the past 3 weeks so she simply went downstairs and called ms wheeler
Karen: hello?
Joyce: hey uh can mike come over
Karen: sure thing let me get him
*she hangs up and minutes later mike knocks on the door*
Joyce: thanks for coming *she pauses* again...
Mike: i really don't mind, it's this or listen to my mom and dad yell at eachother i mean yell at politics
Joyce: oh uh if you need anything let me know but she's upstairs with max
Mike: thanks
*he walks upstairs*
*max sees him and gets up to go downstairs*
Mike: el?
El: you didn't need to come over again, sorry if joyce bothered you
Mike: i'd rather be here
El: oh *more thunder hits and she just closes her eyes* sorry
Mike: why are you sorry *he sits next to her*
El: i'm a wimp
Mike: ok everyone has fears and you basically proved these past weeks you are NOT a wimp el
El: yeah but my fucking fear is thunder storms mike, like comeon
Mike: you have a reason to el, stop
-downstairs-
Will: i dont fucking understand why she needs mIkEyYy here
Joyce: language mister
Max: i don't get it either
Joyce: mikes the one that found her guys, he convinced the boys to save her and let her stay in his basement.  She trusted him because everyone else was crap to her
Max: i mean yeah but were her family now
Joyce: she probably likes mike here because of something that happened when they were younger
Will: i don't know
El woke up and got breakfast, she grabbed the box of eggos as the phone rung
Mike: hey is this joyce
El: nope, its el *she laughed*
Mike: oh can i talk to joyce, i'd love to talk to you but i kinda need to speak to her
El: did something happen?
Mike: yea i guess but can you just ask if me and will can have a sleepover tonight please
El: yeah i'll ask her when she gets out of the shower
Mike: thanks
*she hangs up*
*10 minutes later joyce comes downstairs*
Joyce: morning guys
Will: morning
El: mike wants you to call him
Joyce: oh uh ok one second
Max: why?
El: i don't know he said something about sleeping over with will and he seemed kinda upset
Will: oh?
Max: im sure hes ok, anyway el, do you wanna take a walk this morning
El: sure
*they leave on a walk*
*joyce calls mike*
Mike: can i please come over
Joyce: Sure, any reason why?
Mike: i just wanna hang out with will
Joyce: sure thing bud
*20 min later mike comes in thru the door*
Mike: thanks for letting me over
*mike and will go upstairs*
Will: are you ok
Mike: how did you deal with your mom and dad fighting
Will: music, wait what?
Mike: yeah it's a long story but thanks for the tip haha
Will: now i have a question for you bud
Mike: oh no what now
Will: why does el only want you during storms
Mike: i'm not even going to try and lie, i found in the woods when we were looking for you and it was pouring rain and thunder and she had just escaped the lab or some shit like that
Will: oh, are you going to sleepover
Mike: can i
Will: of course if you wanna hear el and max yell all night about ralph matico and stuff
Mike: anything is better than living with my dad right now
Will: not to be mean but teds always been a asshole
Mike: accurate, thanks for letting me stay over
*they hear the downstairs door swing open and slam shut*
Will: speaking of the devils, there home
Mike: oh and uh i also wanted to ask if el and max do anything there not supposed to like sneak out like they did in school can you tell me
Will: uh sure i guess
*el and max run up the stairs going in there room and shutting the door*
Max: no omg he was totally checking you out
El: shut up, no he wasn't.  Plus HE WAS SO UGLY
Max: that doesn't matter, a guy was still checking you out dummy
El: whatever
*will and mike knock on there door*
Max: come in
Will: can you guys try and be quiet tonight
*the girls look over to see mike with puffy red eyes standing next to will*
*el runs over to him and hugs him*
El: yeah we can try but are you ok?
Mike: it's a long story
El: uh ok
Max: ok so anyway its not whatever el
*will looks at mike and they runs out of the girls room shutting the door laughing*
Mike: there not going to be quiet later are they
Will: probably not, but why not just tell el about your parents
Mike: dude if i tell her she's going to become me
*max takes her ear off the wall*
Max: paper thin walls, i think will forgot about that
El: what did they say
Max: its a issue with his parents and he didn't want to tell you because then you would become him or some shit
El: So I would become a personal babysitter who watches me like a hawk?
Max: basically
El: whatever if he doesn't tell me by a week then i'll confront him
Max: sounds good to me
El: I kinda feel bad for him but he's with will so he's fine right?
Max: i guess so
