Part eleven- max?

His mom: you feel any better max?
Max: yes thank you for letting me stay
His mom: anytime, i don't mind you coming over at all and erica seems to like you so that's a plus
Max: *laughs*
His mom: do you want to go out for lunch before we leave max?
Max: oh sure
Lucas: i have to study for a test, just pick me up when your done
*the girls leave*
*they sit down and start eating*
His mom: so i've been overhearing your calls and i just want you to know whatever happens with your family is truly wrong and my family is offering so much support to you, please just tell us if you need anything max
Max: thank you so much, that means a lot my brother really was a asshole and he did things to me i wont ever forget but after he died my stepdad neil has been worse then ever, so thank you really
His mom: no problem you can come over any day or night of the week, you don't even need to call
Max: thanks it's nice to have your support though, my mom really doesn't care about me anymore
His mom: no problem i'm just glad lucas found somebody so he's not a nerdy teen that talks about star wars all day anymore
Max: oh don't worry he still does that *laughs*
Mis mom: all he talks about is you if i'm being honest
Max: good to know *laughs*
*they leave and pick up lucas*
Lucas: how much longer till we get there mom
His mom: 20 minutes
Lucas: you ready?
Max: yes lucas i'm ready to have people rip my teeth out
Lucas: like i said you can't feel anything
*they get there and sit down*
His mom: i forgot my glasses in the car i'll be right back
*she gets up*
Lucas: *looks over to see max biting her lips and her legs are shaking* are you ok, and don't bite your lip like that, its a bad habit
Max: yeah sorry
Dentist: maxine?
Max: its max
Dentist: ok well were ready
Lucas: I'll see you after, ok?
Max: *holds his hand* bye stalker
Dentist: we will let you know if there's a issue
Lucas: there won't be *looks at max and smiles*
*two hours later*
Lucas: is it usually this long mom
His mom: depends
Lucas: do you think shes ok
His mom: im sures fine, i bet it's just taking longer to wake her up
Dentist: she's up now, you guys can head in and miss if you come over i'll give you medicine and gaws for her
*lucas walks into max's room*
Lucas: max?
*he looks over to see max crying*
Max: i wanna be a j-j-jellyfish and eat bagels lukeyyyyy
Lucas: woah what, we don't live in the water max
Max: jellyfish don't need shoes *She takes her shoes off*
Lucas: no max put your shoes on, we leave soon
Max: baloni
Lucas: stop crying max, please
Max: whos going to watch me twerk if i go to my house
Lucas: ok max, stop nobody wants to watch you twerk in the first place and your moms not home till tomorrow, she's on a work trip
Max: you don't wanna watch me?
Lucas: your just on drugs right now max, chill out
*20 min later*
Dentist: if anything goes wrong you can call us
*at the house*
Lucas: max go take a nap please
Max: fine lukeyy
His mom: lukey huh lucas
Lucas: its the drugs im telling you, she never is this affectionate
His mom: i'm just messing with you lukey
Lucas: really mom
*the phone rings*
Lucas: mike?
Mike: hey yeah el wanted me to check and see how max is doing
Lucas: she is sleeping right now but she is PACKED on drugs, she kept asking if i wanted to see her twerk and why we eat chicken fingers if they don't have any and now she's calling me lukey
Mike: oh jesus
*on monday at school*
Mike: My parents and Holly are out of town this week. Do you come to my house tonight
Dustin: i can't , it's a school night and my cousins coming over
Max: anything is better than being home with neil by myself
Lucas: i can come, my mom won't care
Mike: sweet
*later that*
Lucas: where's max
El: i don't know, she said she was coming right
*the phone rings*
Mike: hello, mike wheeler here
Max: hey uh i can't come tonight *neil yells*
Neil: MAXINE GET OFF THE PHONE ALREADY
Mike: oh, are you ok?
Max: yeah, i'll see you guys tomorrow *she mutters to herself* maybe *she hangs up*
Mike: she can't come, neil was like screaming at her to get off the phone
Lucas: i swear to god, i hate him so much
El: why? Its her stepdad
Lucas: ever since billy died he's been such a ass to her, and i mean before he died he was a ass to her but now its worse because he doesn't have billy to pick on
Mike: what about her mom, and what do you mean pick on
Lucas: her mom doesnt care and she's always on business trips and he just yells and grabs her arms and leaves marks but that's all she will tell me ever
Mike: what about her real dad
Lucas: he was a dick to her and her mom so they moved and got divorced, she always talks about going back to him but i just don't want her going and getting hurt or him not wanting to accept her and then she i don't know feels worse then she does now
Mike: we can talk to her tomorrow about what is happening with neil right now
Lucas: yeah
Mike: im sure shes fine
*they watch a movie*
*the next morning they wait for max at the school entrance, they see her ride up on her duct taped skateboard*
Lucas: hey max, whats up
Max: nothing really i guess, how was last night
Mike: all we really did was watch a movie, oh and uh are you ok?
Max: oh ya know look at the time i have to get going to class now
Lucas: max
Max: i'll talk to you later lucas
El: jeez
Mike: i got to head to science, i'll talk to you guys later
*lunch*
Dustin: ok so like my mom invited my cousin over last night to take photos with my cousin and she told my cousin to put a dress on and she literally told my mom "the next time i'll wear a dress is over my dead body if they make me wear one at a funeral" and i nearly pissed myself
Mike: jesus
*max did not come to lunch*
Lucas: did anyone have last period before this with max
El: yeah she left half way threw and hasn't come back yet
Dustin: she probably skipped again
Lucas: again?
Mike: You didn't know? Dude she skips all the time
Lucas: jeez
*max's pov*
I ran out of class and to the bathroom with my teacher thinking i had to take a massive shit or something, i sat on the nasty floor listening to music until a couple girls walked in so i quickly stood up and walked out of the school and went to the skatepark, obviously it was empty because all the local skaters were in school. I grabbed my board and worked n my ollie until my super com went off
Lucas: max are you there over
I hesitated but picked it up
Max: ya
Lucas: thank god, where are you?
Max: im skating lucas
Lucas: You left school to do that?
Max: why not, it's just one time
Lucas: no its not, the party leaked the beans about you skipping all the time
Max: fine whatever but yes i left school to skate, it's just highschool nobody gives a shit about it anyway
Lucas: Do you want me to come over to the park?
Max: no im fine
Lucas: but i want to talk about ne-
I turn off my super com and shove it in my bag and start skating
Lucas: max? Max? Shit, she turned it off
Mike: she's probably fine, she might just need a day to herself Lucas
