Part 25- power date

Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and I got back from their long bike ride and it was about 11:30 so they came inside to eat lunch.
Mike: Where's el?
Max: the shower?
Mike: oh, uh ok
Max: jesus, you cant even leave her alone for two seconds
Mike: whatever max
Max: thats why your going on a date with her tonight, and before you say anything, it was my idea
Mike: wait what
Max: you heard me dingus
Mike: thanks, i owe you
Max: no you don't, just shut up and eat before your food gets cold
Mike: ok mom
Max: oh shush
Dustin: do you ever stop arguing
Lucas: is that even a question
Max: if you don't shush i'll start arguing with all of you
    El got out of the shower throwing on some shorts and a slightly cropped tank top walking out to get lunch from the counter.
El: i swear to god max if you change my body wash with paint one more time *she says while making a sandwich*
Max: oops
Lucas: nice one
Mike: the fuck?
El: dude joyce is outside *she laughs and sits down*
Mike: whatever, you did what max?
Max: doesn't matter, how was your guys bike ride
Will: it was fun, i mean dustin fell of his bike twice but ya know
Dustin: will really, i fell 3 times, get it right
Lucas: jesus
Max: whatever i'll be back in like a hour
El: max you don't have to
Max: el, shush

    *Max went outside and left el with the boys*

Will: well then, what did you and max do this morning
El: talked *she pauses* about stuff
Lucas: stuff?
   
    El looked over at Mike, by the look he gave her he then realized it was about her powers.  He said "the date" while moving his lips to el.  She then got what he was doing and immediately told the group it was about their date.  Everyone but Lucas believed her.
   
Lucas: you sure el
El: yep, yea
Lucas: ok well i'm going to take a shower
Mike: ok, see ya
    *They all sat eating awkwardly until joyce came in*
Joyce: what do you guys want for dinner later, hotdogs or burgers
Dustin: burgers
El: works for me
Mike: same
Joyce: perfect
    -skip to later that night after dinner-
Max: mike come here for a sec
Mike: uh ok
Max: so, I set up a blanket at the beach, there's a radio and shit, just be back by 10 so we can have a fire, deal?
Mike: thanks max, and deal
*they walk back to the table*
Mike: el you coming
El: yeah one sec
    Minutes later they walk down to the lake and sit down to watch the sun go down, it was about 7 pm at the lake.
El: this is really nice
Mike: yeah, do you know why max set this up
El: because we needed time to relax and her being max she kept asking about us making out and uh i don't k-
     Mike got the hint and they started kissing, not realizing Max was watching them to make sure everything was ok, Max got up and left, leaving them alone.  Max walked back to the cabin into her room sitting down.

Max: hey
Lucas: hey
Max: whats up
Lucas: nothing but i just wanted to know, what were you and el talking about when i was on my bike ride
Max: its a personal thing
Lucas: yeah well i'm her friend, we all work together i thought
