Amethyst St. Clair's POV

So this day has finally come.

I took a deep breath as I slid out of the car. I stared at the magnificent cathedral in Rome. I am getting married today to the man who I love with all my heart. Granddad was waiting for me at the entrance of the basilica with a fond smile on his face.

My sister Ruby helped me with my long wedding gown since she was my matron of honor. "Ready?" She asked with a grin on her face.

I exhaled a deep breath with a shaky smile. "Yeah, I guess so."

"This is one of the reasons why I don't like a grand wedding for me Roman," Ruby stated with a self-mocking smile. "I hate to be the center of the attention."

I shook my head in resignation. Trust my younger sister to make me feel more nervous about the whole thing.

Before I had the chance to say something she added with a smirk. "But I think you'll be fine, big sis. Just blame Franco who wants to give you the grandest wedding Italy will ever witness."

"You are not helping me with my anxiety, Ru," I informed dryly, as she helped me ascend the staircase of the church where Granddad was waiting for us at the closed door of the church.

"Ready?" Ruby asked again giving me my bouquet.

"Yes. I am." I answered as I tried to calm my nerves. I smiled at our grandfather who had this proud expression on his face. "Granddad."

"Ah, my lassie, is finally getting married." He offered his arm. He will be the one who will walk me down the aisle. "Shall we, lass?"

I nodded taking the offered arm. My heart beat wildly in my chest when I suddenly heard the wedding march inside the church and the double wooden door of the basilica suddenly opened. I took a deep breath when I saw that people inside the church suddenly stood from the pews and stared at us expectantly.

I forced myself to walk beside Daniel. I took no notice of the people present inside the church when my gaze was only solely focused on the man waiting for me near the altar with Roman and our son beside him.

Franco was so dashing in today. He was every inch of a bonafide royalty in his suit with a blue sash drape from his right shoulder down to his left waist. The love of my life. The father of my son. The man who owns my heart utterly so.

"Thank you for sending me to Italy, Granddad," I informed Daniel softly while walking slowly on the long aisle. "If it's not for you. I will not meet Franco again."

Daniel glanced briefly in my direction before focusing his attention back on the altar. I couldn't miss the way his eyes glinted with deviltry. "Of course, it was only coincidence, lass. I didn't know that you were somehow connected to him when I gave you this job."

"Why do I have a hard time believing that?" I muttered under my breath.

"You have wounded your dear old granddad, my dear," Daniel said dramatically. "I believe that soulmates are destined to meet again. It has nothing to do with me."

"Granddad?"

He looked solemnly in my direction. "My only job is to keep you safe along with your sisters." His green eyes held a dangerous glint. "I will eliminate anyone who will dare to hurt my princesses."

I frowned at him but I didn't have the chance to ask when we were about to reach the altar when I noticed Emerald rolled her eyes upon seeing me and Granddad. That's the last thing I observed when Franco held out his hands in my direction. "Hey."

"Hey, yourself," I said with a smile on my face.

"Take care of my granddaughter, young man," Granddad told Franco with a stern voice.
