Within a day, the news spread like wildfire around the server. All the evidence for who poisoned Tango, who tried to poison Zed, was pointing to none other than BDoubleO100 himself. The poison came from his flowers, he had a couple opportunities to do the deed, and his fingerprints were on the glass. Admittedly, he hadn't known that those flowers were poisonous, nobody could think of a motive, and his fingerprints were on all of the glasses because he'd brought them, but since when were people rational about things like that?
BDubs darted from building to building in the shopping district, keeping his head down and trying to avoid any difficult conversations. He just had to get a few redstone components, and get out. Not too hard, right? He took a deep breath, made his way out into the open, and crashed into someone. 'Someone' turned out to be Iskall. BDubs hastily apologised, but they didn't seem to notice, icily ignoring him and continuing about their business, and not even stopping to help BDubs up. BDubs sighed and stood up, heading towards the Red Zone.
As he got there, he saw Etho coming out. Shooting his old friend an amicable grin, all he got was a cold stare in return. BDubs speedwalked past, trying to force back the tears welling up in his eyes, the sobs rising in his throat. He was so distracted, that he walked right past the Red Zone. Fine. Whatever. He didn't need the redstone components that much, anyway, and he'd rather not come to more grief. He threw his elytra on, and flew in a random direction, just wanting to get away.
Time Skip brought to you by me just wanting to get to the point in Timeline Q when stuff starts to get REAL.
BDubs was flying over the strait of Joe-braltar when he heard his elytra beginning to strain. Gasping, he checked the durability: low, and falling, but he had enough to safely land. He turned, and dove towards the Goatmother, hoping that he'd make it before he fell. Indeed, he did make it to the mountain before his elytra broke, although he didn't quite have time to land. They gave way when he was about three blocks off the ground, causing him to land roughly.
He lay there for a bit, immersed in his own thoughts, until an arrow landed right beside his head. He sat bolt upright, looking around, until he spotted Doc. Cautiously, he put his hands up, signalling surrender. Doc didn't seem to get the message, and fired another arrow which BDubs only barely dodged. Terrified, BDubs turned and ran down the mountain, entering Joe's area. As he was running, he realised exactly what he had to do. His heart sunk a little, but it was already pretty low, so he just ignored it. What he was going to do was for the greater good.
Meanwhile, a bit later, with someone else...
"Bubbles?" Keralis knocked gently on BDubs' door. It drifted open, unlocked. Keralis stepped in, looking around. All of BDubs' shulker boxes were gone. "J-Just so you know, I don't think it was you!" He called out feebly. He went into the kitchen, where he found a note. It read:
Dear Hermits.
I have, for the time being, left the main area of the server, and moved to the world border. If you require me to stand trial or anything, you can find me directly south of here. Otherwise, please just let me be. I didn't do it, but if my presence is disrupting the server, then it's for the best that I self-exile.
Regards,
BDubs
"No... Bubbles..." Keralis gently put the note down. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he quickly wiped them away. "I'm coming to help." He declared, ran outside, and took of towards the south.
One last clue for the mystery itself: One of the Hermits was the person who did it, but the person who did it never was one of the Hermits.
I've been Entropy, peace out from the present!
