chapter 38

By the time Alaric was finished with his story we ere in the living room eating. It was early morning by now but I wasn't too bothered about it . Sure, I'll be grumpy today but I was already going to be grumpy regardless. We were putting Alaric's plan into action today as it was Wednesday and we all had a day off. Alaric was going to convince Amity to go on an outing with him and Maddox and I will just so happen to be there. I was looking forward to the spending time with Maddox bit of course, but my heart clenched at the other parts of the plan.

Before that though , Alaric and I were sympathising with each other . I hoped that at the end of this there would be some hope fo friendship between us. There was still something nagging me "So your name is Alaric Nicholas?" Alaric was lying across my settee trying to stay awake , He had a cup of liquid awakeness in his hands and he nodded tiredly "Yup , Alaric me ,Nicholas my dad and my surname wall-" he turned his head to look directly at me "You've figured that one out?"

My mouth dropped open "you can't be serious! no no you cannot be serious...seriously?" I asked still in a little bit of shock . I'm surprised that it took me a few hours to come to the realization of what it meant. Alaric had...written this book.... 'A.N.Onymous' If his first name is Alaric and his second name is Nicholas and he seemed very shocked when he saw the book in my hand then that really means his surname is "Onymous? your surname is Onymous? Your name....is Anonymous?" I started to chuckle a little bit and so did he , he turned completely around to face me on the settee with his cup still I hand .

"Unbelievable isn't it? I found it rather amusing but that is now my legal name , I kinda had to take on a whole new identity after all of that, though Amity didn't know it was me of course. I still wanted to be Alaric , despite how odd the name may be . It reminded me of my parents , whom I still have no clue what happened to." He dropped his head back onto my settee and groaned a little bit.

Suddenly another shrill sound echoed through the apartment and my mind was brought back to the horrific nightmare I had not too long ago. It seemed not being able to sleep peacefully will be a common occurrence for me, not something that I enjoyed what so ever but I sighed and went upstairs to turn my alarm off. When I came back down I saw Alaric on his phone. He looked seriously up at me "That's amity, I gotta bounce!" he stood up and gave me a slight smile . "Sorry for not being the nicest when we first met , but you seem rather cool." He held his hand out for me to shake .

I returned a polite smile and shook his hand "yeah, sorry for being somewhat annoying and talkative . It was a new occurrence for me. you also seem to be rather enjoyable company." H rolled his eyes at me before punching my shoulder. "yeah you can totally tell that you're from another time mate." Which rolled me to roll my eyes before bidding him farewell.

I went upstairs to get changed after cleaning the small amount of dishes that we used . I had decided that once again a flannel shirt and jeans would once again be my outfit today, I was a bit uncomfortable wearing such casual clothes but for what we had plans it really wasn't such a good thing to be dressed so formally. Not that I care about other's opinions. I just need something less restricting.

My hair was in a bun at the base of my neck and I wore a red, pink , white and black coloured flannel with light jeans. I felt very out of place even though I was still only in my house. That was one of the reasons why I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. It was still early so I decided to stop at a café on my way to Maddox's house, I got myself f more liquid awakeness and I picked up a hot chocolate for Maddox since it was rather cold considering it was summer.

When I greeted Maddox at his door he gave me a quick "Hello chester good morning...er afternoon!" before kissing me on the cheek and shutting the door behind him. I could tell that he was more nervous then normal as he had more beads on his arm and more leather around his neck. He had a necklace under his shirt and he had some beaded bracelets of all different colours. If you looked closely you could tell that they were in fact made of crystals.
