Chapter 15: Laughter and muffins

-Ash's POV-

Serena and Froakie look like they're having a staring competition. Why did I not get invited?! I would love to join in! Serena seems to be provoking Froakie into blinking by saying, "Ohhhhhhh Froakieeeeee! Fennekin said you are free to come over any time before ten, but she is not allowed to be pet today so don't pet her." "Froakie Froakie! (Wow.... good to know)" "Now since Fennekin wouldn't tell me where you two were, would you care to tell me?" "Froooooo(Not now maybe later)" "Ok Froakie. I hope you keep your promises. I will be waiting at the statue in front at 5." "Frooo(Whatever)". And just like that, Serena left me.  What the hell were they talking about?

It's 4:45. I notice that a Froakie leaves to the statue to talk to Serena. I wonder what they have to talk about. I wonder if I should follow them, but I decide against it, since Serena and Froakie probably wouldn't want me intruding on their talk. 

-Serena's POV-

4:57. I told Froakie to be her in 3 minutes, and I am holding Fennekin in my arms. I told her that someone would like to talk to her at 5. I see Froakie walking towards the statue, and look at his eyes when he sees Fennekin with me. It looks like Fennekin and Froakie want to jump at each other. I can't help but laugh out loud, and they both glare at me. "Hey guys. I was the one who organized this meeting, so don't start kissing yet because I want to talk with you. Let's start with Fennekin. Is Froakie the one you were with last night?" She nods. "Ok then. Froakie, Fennekin where were you two last night? Don't try to deny you were out, because I came out of the bathroom last night to see a Fennekin opening my dorm door." They look like they are considering if they should tell me, but end up telling me. " Fro Froakie Kie(We were in Ash's room, don't tell him)." "Okkkkk then. I won't tell Ash as long as you two tell me why you were in Ash's room." Another long pause. Fennekin decides to say something. "Fenn Fenne Kin Fennekin Kin(We were in Ash's room so we could confirm a suspicion we had." They seem to be telling the truth. "Alright. I believe you. I just imagined that you would be cuddling under a tree, or dancing, or walking around the beach, or out at a fancy Pokémon restaurant, or....." and I continue to list possible date options before saying, "I mean, you guys would look cute together." They both blush a bright red. Fennekin shoots back by saying, "Fenne Fenn...Fennn(So would you and Ashhhhh)." "You know I will only truly love the boy from camp Fennekin." They burst out laughing, and I even see Froakie hit the floor while laughing and Fennekin almost in tears of laughter. Must be some inside joke. "Well bye I guess. Just remember, you two look cute together." And with that I leave.

-Fennekin's POV-

Funniest. Thing. Ever. Oh my god, I can't stop laughing. What makes it even more hilarious is that     Serena didn't get why we are laughing so hard. If only they knew, her and Ash would probably jump on each other and start kissing within 5 minutes. I look at Froakie and see him on the ground laughing his head off. He disgusts me sometimes, but I have to admit he IS cute. I blush a bright red. When Froakie finally recovers from his seizure, we look into each other's eyes, and we both blush a deep red. I just hope Ash and Serena hurry this up, so I can finally start kissing Froakie. Unfortunately, Ash probably wants Froakie back as soon as possible, so Froakie goes back to his dorm after saying goodbye. I wonder just how long it will be before at least one of the two figure it out. I'm in no rush to interfere though, because this is just too funny.

I make my way back to Serena's dorm and she looks downright confused. This girl still can't figure it out. And here I am, thinking it's smart she found out about me and Froakie. Oh well. I might have to give these two a push eventually. 

-Serena's POV-

What on earth could they have been laughing about? Obviously, it was something that one of us three said, but I don't know what it could be. I see Fennekin come him, and when I ask her why she and Froakie were laughing, she just face palms. Is it really that obvious, the thing I'm missing? I decide to grab my chocolate chip muffins from the cabinets and place one in front of Fennekin before I start wolfing my three down. I start giggling as I realize that I'm eating just like the boy at summer camp and surprisingly Ash. You can't blame me though. I love chocolate chip muffins. I need to go to the store tomorrow, and then I will probably buy several packs. They require no cooking, and I love them, so I could practically live off of them. I will need to buy some other things though, so I can maintain my nutrition.

I remember the first time I ate a chocolate chip muffin. It was at summer camp, on Day 3, and we were having them for breakfast. He told me to watch him to learn how to eat them. He peeled off the wrapper, and started eating it from the bottom to the top. I remember thinking to myself, What kind of monster is he? He saw me looking at him with a revolted face and said. "Just kidding, Honey! You eat them like this, see."  And he showed me the proper way to eat a muffin while flashing me a big, cheeky grin. I loved those days, almost as much as I love him.
