Chapter 25: When nightmares become a reality

Jun 1-26. 25 full days. 25 chapters. And 25 hundred reads. Thank you guys very much, and thank you for 44 votes. I now present to you chapter 25! 

-Ash's POV-

It's funny how the one place that Honey hasn't been following me is the one place I'm in public, and the one place where it would be the easiest to remain hidden. The amusement park. She could have easily followed me, yet she decided not to. I wonder why. That's what I am thinking as Friday night turns to Saturday morning. To be honest, I really enjoyed spending time with Serena, and I hope I can spend more time with her. But I don't know if Honey would get jealous of me spending time with Serena. But why would she get jealous? I mean, Serena and I are just friends. 

I can't sleep, not even two hours later, so I decide to go outside. By the time I get there it is almost 3:00 AM. And I see Serena for whatever reason. She is sitting on the bottom step in the front of the campus and I decide to prank her. I hide in the shadows of the building, and slowly creep up on her, making sure to stay hidden. And the clock strikes 3 right when I'm directly behind her. Devils' hour. And I give her my creepiest laugh in history. "MWAHAHAHAHAHA MWAHAHAHA!" And she screams, she screams and I swear that some one in Pallet Town could probably hear her scream. And I start banging the stairs in laughter, but it just freaks her out even more. "Reveal yourself now! I am not afraid to beat the living daylights out of you if you keep this up!"

I step into the light. "It sure didn't seem that way, Serena." "ASH F*CKING KETCHUM, I WILL KILL YOU! WHAT THE HELL MADE YOU THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA? AND WHY THE HELL ARE YOU OUT HERE?" "Relax, Serena. I couldn't sleep, and that's why I'm out here. And for why I pranked you, it is 3 AM." "I hate you more than words can say." She fires back. "Then why did you ask me for my number?" I say. "Yeah Serena! Why did you?" Me and Serena just stare at each other and say, "Did you ju-just s-say that?" We both shake our heads, and then both scream at the top of our lungs. And the world blacks out, as we start to fall eternally.

Everything becomes light again, and I can see that it's 5:30 Am on Saturday. Was it all just a dream? I fall asleep and only wake up at 9 Am. 

I decide to text Serena. Hey Serena, I just had the weirdest dream.

Me too. What happened in yours?

Well, I dreamed that I decided to go outside since I couldn't sleep. I saw you outside and decided to prank you, since it was 3 AM. You got quite frightened and started yelling at me, and we got into a mini argument. But suddenly a third party intervened and I fell down a pit before waking back up. 

Uh...... Ash. Slight problem. That wasn't a dream. 

Wait what?! How do you know?

Because humans don't usually have the exact same dreams. 

Uh oh. That was real? Then how the hell am I alive, and how is she alive? 

What should we do Ash?  She asks. And I wish I could answer her, but I can't. 

We should probably meet up and stay together until we get things sorted out. Meet me at the cafe.

And so, 30 minutes later, we both see each other scared to death in the cafe. "A-a-a-ash, what do w-we d-do?" "I don't know Serena, but we better stay close together." She nods, but I can see that she is very nervous. And wanting to do something to comfort her, I hug her tight. "Shhh, everything will be alright." I say, trying to comfort her. She goes a bit pink, but is able to compose herself. "Come on Serena, lets go back to my dorm." I say, and she hesitantly nods. And so we spend the whole day watching cartoons and movies, so we don't die of fear. I make us some snacks, and we try to forget what the past 24 hours have been like. We watched YouTube, anime, movies, TV shows, but nothing seems to be working. And several times, my eyes can't help but wander to Serena. And I find that she's pretty damn cute. She might even be as cute as Honey. Honey would probably kill me if I told her that. And I do like Honey more than anyone else. But Serena seems kind of, how do I put this, familiar, and I can't quite grasp why. I realize that it's quite late. 10:30 PM in fact. And I don't know if I want her to stay, but I still feel scared, and she is more nervous than me. So I ask her if she wants to stay for the night, since we are both still scared.

We both get into our pajamas( Serena brought a bag over), and lie down on the bed. We try to fall asleep, but something is keeping us from falling asleep. Suddenly we hear a loud clap of thunder. It must be thundering, but I don't have a window so I can't check. Serena looks terrified, and I realized that she is scared of thunder. I whisper to her but she hears it, "Serena, if you are scared you can come closer." She nods and moves forward. Suddenly, there is another clap of thunder, and she can't help but shrieking, and she jumps onto me, and pulls me into a hug. Her arms feel so soft, and they remind me of Honey, and I surprise even myself by relaxing in her arms. Maybe it's because I'm scared as well. Maybe it's because I feel bad for her, and want to comfort her. Or maybe it's because she reminds me so much of Honey, even though I know Honey is so close. But I find myself bringing her closer to me, as I hug her back. 

She looks pretty surprised to say the least. But she allows it to happen, and she puts her head on my chest. And before we know it, we are both asleep.

-???'s POV-

They are both asleep, and my partners in crime Froakie and Fennekin are all ready to tell them what happened. First off, I should tell you what happened. When we saw that our trainers were still awake yesterday, we decided to follow them as they went downstairs. We ran off and found a wild Espeon and Umbreon to help us. We saw that Serena and Ash were arguing, and we scared them by using Espeon's telekinesis to talk with them. This frightened them nearly to death, and Espeon and Umbreon created a dark "abyss" by using their powers to make them feeling like they were free-falling into the void. Espeon used psychic to lift them to their bedrooms, and when they awoke, they were terrified. They didn't know if it was real or not, so they went back to bed. When they awoke again, they told each other about what happened and figured out that it wasn't a dream. And they were terrified yet again. They decided to meet up, which was EXACTLY what me, Froakie and Fennekin wanted. We could relax until it was their bedtime. They were both too scared for Serena to go back to her dorm, and our plan was working perfectly. We faked thunder noises, as Fennekin told me that Serena was terrified of them. And now, at 6 AM on Sunday morning, it was time to see if our plan worked. And it did! While they weren't together, as we didn't hear that part, and also Serena didn't confess to Ash that she was Honey, that wasn't our plan for today. And as me, Froakie, and Fennekin stepped into the room, we saw that they were both sleeping, with Serena's head on Ash's chest. So cute! Fennekin, Froakie, and I erupted into a fit of giggles, which unfortunately managed to wake both of them up before we could take a photo. They realized that it was both of their first times sleeping with a boy/girl, and exploded red. Ash caught on to what we did, somehow. "You three set this up. Didn't you Pikachu?!" I just erupted into a fit of laughters and told them everything. And I saw Ash sprint at me and Froakie while Serena sprinted at Fennekin, and they were both yelling "IM GOING TO GET YOU FOR THIS!"

For whatever reason, my genius mind came up with this as the idea for Chapter 25. I think it was quite cute and hilarious at the end, while managing to keep it suspenseful through the rest of the chapter.
