Chapter 21: Ashy!

-Serena's Dream-

I was running away from the camp, running as fast as my little legs could carry me. I didn't want to be there. I didn't belong there. Suddenly, I tripped over a root, and fell. "Ouchie!" I said. I found myself unable to move my leg. If only that damn thing would move, I could get out of this situation. I heard rustling in the bushes, and started to get nervous. It was just a Poliwag though, and I held it in my arms. "Awwwwww, you're such a cutie!" I said, rubbing my cheeks with it. Then I heard rustling again. "Poliwag! Poliwag! Where are you?" I hear him say. He comes out from the Bushes and sees me playing with the Poliwag. "Oh, so that's where you ran off to. Hey what happened to you?" He says, looking at me. "I trippy, and felly over the treeie." I said in my most adorable face. I wanted to impress him. "But the problem is, I kinda fellie and hurtie my kneeie." I say with a disappointed face. "You know, you're quite cute. I am gonna call you Honey is that OK with you?" I beam at him. "Okie-dokie!" "Can you get up?" I try to get up, but end up falling on my bottom. "Never give up until it's over!" he says, and reaches for my hand. He yanks a little too hard though, and I end up hugging him, and I blush slightly. "Hey. You never told me what your name is," I say. "My name?" "Yes silly, everyone has one!" "Ok, it's Ash!" I smile at him, and say, "Okie-dokie  Ashy." 

"Ash."

"Ashy!" I say enthusiastically.

"Ash."

"Ashy!" I say, sprinting forward and tackling him into a hug. "Your name is Ashy from now on. At least to me it is." I see him chuckling, and I give him my brightest smile while blushing slightly. "Ok, ok. You can call me Ashy from now on." I hug him again. "Yay! Ashy!" 

-Serena's POV-

Beep. Beep. Beep. Time to wake up. I wake up groaning, but when I remember what I dreamed about I beam and blush. "Ashy..." I say, in a dream-like manner. "Fenne Fenn Fenn (Oh! You finally noticed!" "Yes I did Fennekin! Wait how did you know?" And she goes on and on, speaking of her adventures with Froakie and how they successfully sneak into Ash's and my room during the middle of the night and bla bla bla bla. I really need some security measures. I just end up hugging Fennekin though. "Yay! Ash really is Ashy!" I say, overjoyed. But then reality hits me. He probably doesn't know that I used to know him. And even if he did, would he return my feelings. Oh well, I can worry about that later, right now I'm just overjoyed that I get a second chance!

I do my daily routines, and then walk out the room, ready for a new day at school. The old Serena is back ladies and gentlemen! Ever since yesterday, I feel so alive! It's like I'm on cloud 9, and I'm not in a rush to come back down. And yet, I still have to put up with Calem. Well, I don't if I just avoid him. I still don't have my proof yet, but I'm optimistic that I will be getting some soon. 

After 1st period, I run into Ashy! It's everything I can do to not run screaming "Ashy" and jump on top of him. If we were in private, I might have done it, but not now. We greet each other nicely, before we both head off to our next classes. I think about Friday and how I'm going with Ashy to the amusement park.

Oh my god, is it a date? What if it's a date? Do I have to wear something nice? Will I really be going on a date with the love of my life? Then I calm down. Ash is oblivious, and if he remembered me as Honey, why not call me that. He might not even love me back, and I'm still in a relationship with Calem. Oh well, I guess this will take some time. I consider bringing a photo of us together, but he's so oblivious he probably won't recognize it or wonder why I have it, and also I want him to find out by himself like I did. 

I trust my Ashy though. I will always believe that he likes me back, even if he doesn't. And I think he means it. I didn't know it then, but our first time at the cafe he did say he loved me. But in what way? And will he still love me when he figures out I am Homey? It's too much to take in, and I tell myself to just breathe. Just relax because everything will be fine in the end. If I know anything after this though, it's that I'm 100% in love with Ash or as I like to call him 'Ashy' Ketchum. And if you told me that I would be saying that 2 weeks ago, I would have told you that you were insane. But it's true, because I love him 100% and want to be more then just friendzies. 

-End of Chapter 21-

Well, Serena has figured things out, but Ash is oblivious. Serena has become happier again, and she is acting quite like her pre-Calem self now. This episode was meant to be a cute episode centered around Serena. I also changed up the summer camp aspect so it doesn't match with the anime. This is meant to be how they first met and if I set it up in the earlier chapters to be the same as the anime, I am sorry, but I wanted to make Serena even cuter and more lovable here.
